I sent one a while back and got a non-helpful boiler plate response. I could try again. I currently have a note in to Pitaka about their Pro case on the same subject. I think they’re all hesitant to divulge too much information for fear of torpedoing sales of their cutout versions.

So what’s the consensus on the Spigen Hybrid T? Just ordered one from Amazon for $19.99. Figured at that price might as well try it.
It’s the case I’m currently using and the only case I own. I’m totally happy with it. It has good grip and isn’t slippery. It has a decent lip. The CC control button works just as well as the ones on the official Apple cases and Beats cases. As long as you’re okay with using a clear case I would recommend it.

Awesome thank you. I want to swap it out on occasion with my Ryan London open bottom. I got the black version of the Spigen, so looking forward to the darker color. Should get mine on Wednesday.

I’ve been in the frost version of it for almost a month and a half. For the cost, the case is pretty solid. My only difference in assessment from you is I find it a little slippery

I previously reported that my Nomad Modern Leather case was nice, although I didn’t like the area around the CC button. After only about 2 weeks of it being on my 16 Pro, I now think the case is a piece of crap. I keep my phone in my front pocket and I am very protective of it. Despite my being very careful, there are all kinds of scratches on the case. The leather must be as thin as a sheet of one ply toilet paper. I had an Apple leather case on my 14 Pro for 26 months and there were no scratches on the case when I traded in the 14 Pro for the 16 Pro.

I thought I was buying a quality case from Nomad. I couldn’t be more wrong.

Does anyone enjoy the Mujjo leather cases this year? They have a great dar on Amazon but I’m not sure about that CC button… that’s my only hesitation. Would love some feedback from someone who has one. Is the weight an issue?

Using it for a month now. Iam not a cc specialist or frequent user of this button. But the case itself is very nice. Great quality and Finnish. Nice button, although you sometime can here the buttons when shaking the case. Leather looks and feels amazing how it evolves over time can’t tell yet.

It's definitely well made with higher quality than my Horween nomad case that I used on my 15 pro. CC button is not the most reachable for sure but the cutout is indented enough to interact with it and use the gestures. It's already softening and feeling more "worn" in the nice way after 2 days of heavy use.

How is the leather case and the grip?

I think it’s a pretty good case. The leather feels better after a few weeks so the grip is improving daily. It was worth exchanging the sport case for this case. The CC cutout is better than the rectangle cutouts most other manufacturers use. More comfortable for sure. The case will stay in my rotation.

These companies must be salivating over the prospect of selling us two copies of each case
If you had to choose between the open bottom of the Apple clear case or the open cc button on the PR gen 6 what would you go with ? Trying to gather some opinions here 🤔

Is that the Horween leather version ?

Personally, if I had to choose, I’d opt for the Apple. I frequently use the CC button, and all the pill-shaped cutouts I’ve tried have been disappointing (I haven’t tried the Gen 6 though). Additionally, I’m gradually moving away from heavier cases, so the Apple currently appeals to me more for that reason as well.

The only particular style case I actually don’t have is a thin case like a Pitaka or Benks ArmorTint. Cyber shopping on Amazon and what’s the preference between the two? No black though as I have enough black aramid greasers
@JBlass421 and I are split 50/50 on Benks vs Pitaka (they prefer Benks, I prefer Pitaka). I suspect you’ll get more votes for Benks, at least partially due to their more competitive pricing. Personally, I prefer the Pitaka designs and feel that their fit, finish, and QC are a slight step up from Benks, but others will definitely differ. Both are actually very good, which is why we only find minor details to squabble over. 😊

Thanks for your help. There’s like a $10 difference between the two so guess it comes down to the design as I would imagine both are equally good in the grip department

The Pitaka Tactile Woven and Benks ArmorTint are both textured. The black/gray 600D models from both brands have a smoother finish which has less grip and also shows more fingerprints.

I have the regular ArmorAir 600D black Benks, the ArmorTint and ArmorAir Aurora.

My favorite is the Aurora simply because of its design pattern. The ArmorTint in (DawnLight Gold) is my very close runner up.

The texture on the ArmorTint is more significant than Aurora. Both feel great in hand and have great grip. Fingerprints is barely an issue on these finishes, the cases stay looking clean, you have to have really greasy hands to mark it up and notice it on the case.

The ArmorTint also has a stronger MagSafe than Aurora, both great strength though. Funny as it might sound the ArmorTint’s MagSafe is almost too strong as it sticks to my vent MagSafe car mount so strong that it’s more of a hassle to remove as it grips on it so strong. Not a massive issue just an observation on the ArmorTint.

I tried the Pitaka and from personal preference between the two the Benks is the winner due its clean black camera frame with small branding which I prefer over Pitaka’s silver sharp camera ring with big print Pitaka branding on the back bottom of the case.

The Benks has all 4 corners slightly raised up creating a small lip on each corners, nice touch in my opinion for this type of ultra slim design vs Pitaka having 0 lip and actually having the case retract back into the phone’s frame. Also the bottom of Benks is full lip flush coverage, Pitaka doesn’t have full lip flush coverage on bottom (no coverage around USB-C Port). Benks gives a cleaner all around lip finish around the frame IMO.

Also the pricing is another winner for me, Benks I feel is priced just right and not taxing as much as Pitaka unless that’s a non issue for someone.

Regardless they’re both great cases as they aim to accomplish the same thing. They’re so light and so pleasant to hold, it’s been tough for me to go back into another case. I’ve never been an Ultra Slim case person before this year (iPhone 16) and now it’s been well around 3 months that I’ve used this style of case. Now when having tried other designs everything seems bulky and heavy.

Looking forward to hearing what you choose or your comparison if you end up giving both brands a run.

You are awesome my friend, thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge on both. I might try the Pitaka Forest due to the unique color and not in your face branding like all their other cases. I agree with you, that kills the look. But if it’s not good, definitely trying the ArmorTint colors.

Need to stay off Amazon 😂

I just returned the Spigen Ultra Hybrid T. Although the camera control button is amazing, I have a problem holding the case with my pinky. It seems the bottom of the case is so sharp, that it cuts into my poor pinky. I have a lump on it now. Not comfortable to hold.

Think I’ll wait until the Ghost 2.0 arrives. Until then, we have the Clarity 3.0 (had one laying around because of Black Friday), Sheath and Synthesis. :)
