I was going to get the 15PM, but now maybe I'll wait for the 16PM, or wait, the 17PM might even be better?

They aren't going to have a lot of shine with features missing/dropped/cancelled late on in to pre-production. Just going to be as forgettable as the 14 series.Yes all the 16 rumors kinda are anti-marketing attempts to remove the shine from the upcoming iPhone 15 models.
Not to mention you'll likely need multiple cables for multiple items. My gaming headset is USB-C. So is my iPad Pro. Then iPhone, eventually AirPods, etc. One cable will never cut it.Even when my iPhone becomes USB-C, I‘ll still have Lightning devices (AirPods Pro, Siri Remote, Magic Keyboard) for years. And I still have micro USB for my bike gear.
Interesting you may be right! If Apple is going bigger, then iOS needs better multi-tasking. I want to have Safari and Mastodon open at the same time in split view, to look at photos and interact with my Spotify playlist.
Its clear whats going on here, Apple is making the displays bigger to buy time until they are able to produce a foldable iPhone. They obviously see the threat with so many Androids brands producing foldable devices.
You need bigger pants then. I wear slimfit/skinny jeans and have zero issues with the 14 Pro Max. The phone isn't your problem. lol.My pockets can barely hold my current 14PM now
Its not gonna be cheap, especially if they go the same route with front and inside displays. Thats technically three iPhone Pro's in one device. So, I think same price range as todays Android foldables around 2 grand minimum. But Apple is not expecting this to be a hit, but just have a play in the game to not pull away existing iPhone users to Android.Interesting you may be right!
I wonder how long it will be before apple produces one and what the price will be🤪
Don't you find it funny we are discussing advantages of the 14 Pro models, that will somewhat trickle down into the 15 series, and now we are getting exciting about a slight increase of screen size with these 16 series rumors. Whats really forgettable? They aren't going to have a lot of shine with features missing/dropped/cancelled late on in to pre-production. Just going to be as forgettable as the 14 series.
Is it possible ? To keep the very same size of current 6.1, whilst increasing screen to 6.3? I'm a bit doubtfulIncrease screen size by decreasing bezels and keep the same phone size.
Magic!
This same old crap start talking about next years new model before this years new model is even out. It's all Apple using planned leaks to see how people react so they can decide what is worth doing and what isn't. Face it smartphone have pretty much got all the features one could want so harder an harder to convince people to upgrade yearly or even every two or three years. Apple will probably switch to subscription iPhones so they get a predictable cashflow to make Wall Street happy.
Apple has not notably tweaked iPhone screen sizes since the introduction of the iPhone 12 models in 2020, but that's set to change with the 2024 iPhone 16 lineup. The iPhone 16 Pro models will have larger display sizes than the iPhone 14 Pro models and the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro models.

According to researcher Unknownz21, the iPhone 16 Pro (D93 in Apple's internal documentation) will feature a display with a size of 6.3 inches, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max (D94) will feature a display size of 6.9 inches. Note that these are the full dimensions of the display, and the actual viewable area will be slightly smaller due to the rounded corners of the design.
The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max displays measure in at 6.1 and 6.7 inches, respectively, so increases to 6.3 and 6.9 will be noticeable. A screen size increase of 0.2 inches perhaps suggests a new design, plus Apple could potentially also slim down the bezels even further than it plans to with the iPhone 15 Pro models.
Increased screen sizes are expected to be limited to the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, with the standard iPhone 16 to continue to feature a screen size of 6.1 inches.
Analyst Ross Young was the first to suggest that the iPhone 16 Pro models would have larger display sizes. Last week, Young also said that Apple will introduce displays that are 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, though he said these numbers are rounded to the nearest decimal place from 6.2x and 6.8x inches. Young plans to provide more specific information later in the month, and the sizing discrepancy between what he's shared so far and Unknownz21's sizing detail is likely due to the difference between actual display area and viewable display area.
Unknownz21 confirms that iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will both get periscope zoom camera technology, a feature that will be limited to the iPhone 15 Pro Max this year. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has also said that the updated camera functionality will be coming to both Pro models in 2024. The periscope lens will allow for 5x to 6x optical zoom, a notable improvement over the current 3x maximum zoom offered by the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
MacRumors has worked with Unknownz21 on past leaks and we have seen documentation that suggests the information he is sharing is legitimate and reliable.

I want the very biggest screen that will support a pop socket. Even the iPad mini has to be held in the hand. But I could hold a pop socket phone all day without any discomfort as long as the battery doesn’t weigh a ton. Also needs to barely fit in pocket. Like she says: bigger is better… baby. 😁

This makes me wonder how long before MR readers are also powered by AI.The Mac Rumors bot is now powered by AI. It is getting more intelligent as we speak learning about what makes readers go into a tizzy. The more responses a post gets the better, so it seeks out more of the same. We have to stop feeding the bot and remain silent.![]()
Well we wouldn't be that shocked if it was. This makes me wonder how long before MR readers are also powered by AI.
