I really couldnt care less. I'll keep using my 13 mini until Tim comes back to his senses and releases the mini version again.

Cool! Now the bigger screens need to support the Apple Pencil.
I agree, so we can finally do full circle!

My 12 Pro Max feels goliath, and I can only imagine the lack of portability on such a large iPhone as 6.9 inch.
If it weren't for my workflow (Pro Max phone replaces the need for an ipad, as it's big enough for all things I do ios-wise and I've got my 14 inch pro / mac pro 5,1 for anything macOS) I'd be on a 13 mini.

With all these 16 rumors it's like there won't be a 15.

I've upgraded yearly since the iPhone 6 but I think I'm skipping the 15 Pro, there just is nothing worth it from my 14 Pro... what a better processor? I'll wait for these 16 Pro models, at least they have bigger screens and a periscope camera in each size.

Have I missed the 15 being announced already?

you are currently viewing "MacRumors" a site that for a couple decades now has been able to get much of the information of upcoming Apple hardware. The details about the major hardware features of the 15 Pro and Pro Max are very well known... new A17 Bionic chip on a 3nm process, slightly smaller bezels, stainless steel sides become brushed or might be Titanium, the mute switch becomes a physical button that is programmable for multiple functions, and the Pro Max model gets a periscope camera for the telephoto lens. There you go. It seems a larger scale form change (more rounded sides), haptic buttons, larger screens, and periscope cameras for both Pro models are going to have to wait for 2024.

I must be dumb but why they are calling it a "periscope" lens? I'd expect seeing a vertical tube with a bend on the end to qualify as a periscope. It is not. Why not a "telescope" then?
I’ve been wondering the same thing. I have since found out it’s just like one of the other cameras on the back of the phone. It just uses internal mirrors to bounce the image around so I don’t know what periscope is supposed to have to do with that.

I think its because the light coming in is bent using a mirror and travels a distance inside the phone perpendicular to the direction it entered prior to hitting the sensor which is sort of like how a periscope works. now I know modern telescopes often use mirrors to redirect and focus light also but they tend (with exceptions) to be aligned in the direction the light entered the primary glass all the way to the sensor, ie. your eye or an astrophotography camera.

iPhone 16……….  doesn’t even know exactly what it’s going to be
So take these rumors as mere conversation
