Yeah I'll skip to the iPhone 19. That's where the real upgrades will be.
There could be a folding iPhone by then. That would be a real/big upgrade or downgrade depending on your perspective. Well, at least the base 15 and 15 Plus will be a good upgrade this year and not the “why bother upgrade” we got with the 14 and 14 Plus. No 120Hz until 2025 is a real downer especially given that you can get that with mid-range Android phones right now.

And yet more and more apps have moved their buttons to the top of the screen (I’m looking at you Outlook with the new search button). I suppose over time people will just have to grow longer thumbs.

Very disappointing, I want a wider phone. I don’t understand why they continue to follow Samsung with so many things. These phones are already too tall and skinny with 19.5:9 display as it is.

My Galaxy s21 had the taller ratio and I really dislike it. The reason is because games end up less enjoyable. I play a Pinball game and the flippers end up more tiny. Samsung has moved away from that ratio after 1 year of it on the S models. Their clamshell flip phones are an even taller and thinner ratio, and it is not enjoyable.

Just give us "normal" iphones in the even years and the "pro's in the uneven, hell skip a year with releasing phones.
To be fair, i am not into iphones as i was, maybe i am getting older (and/ or poorer) but i rock my 12 mini for 2 years now and it will keep going.

But the iphone 15 is not out yet and we are already reading about iphone 16.
Only new phone that will get me excited will be an Apple foldable (saw the galaxy flip in use 2 weeks ago).
So if Apple releases a flip phone in "24, i will be able (and willing) to spend money on it when it will be "affordable" in 2028.

People are already developing pinky fingers shaped to support phones.
Too lazy to search for this article, but i saw it on the news a couple of months ago.

If the phones keep on getting bigger and bigger, humans will have hands as big as an Ipad in the future.

That should do wonders for piano-playing...

What a dramatic upgrade from my iPhone X the iPhone 17 Pro Max will be?
Honestly pretty big. You are looking are better battery life, huge improvement on the cameras, pro motion etc.

I can only assume your X is starting to have battery issues by now, now imagine 3 more years of constant use.

Overall it’s at one’s discretion when to upgrade and if it makes fiscal sense.

Ready Apple!

Some days I have charge twice per day. Battery Health is showing 78%. I’m sure I can push through 2.5 years. But so much can happen between now and 2025.

Thinking about it, this larger screen size may be due to the screen being rounded and « bending over » the edges à la Samsung Galaxy style. In this case the iPhone itself would retain the current dimension. A true edgeless iPhone!

This is ridiculous. Really rumors about Iphone 17???
I feel that the iPhone 18 may have under display finger print reader rendering the under display Face ID irrelevant to protect us from the “AI Threat”. Going back to simpler times and iPhone 19 heralds the return of strong passwords only known by the user.
