The suti 17 pro max states 52 grams on their site; for my 16 pro i used the nomad leather phoneback (which was around 30 grams?). I think because the suti and matter ones attach magnetically, they weigh more... whereas nomad uses adhesives. I got tired of the leather look and wanted to see the color of my phone, so my only options would be clear phoneback or arc pulse lol

I weighed the Süti NanoLeather phone back for the 17 pro max and it's 38.8 grams.

I’m glad you finally received your case. The color combo looks good.

I’ve mentioned this before, but I wonder why phone backs have to be so heavy? I’d love to see them use a lighter, more rigid material such as aramid fiber to get the weight down under 20 grams. I wonder if they have to make the back thicker than a regular case since there is no support from the sides, or if the magnets have to be stronger? Just curious.

My Andar Aspen is 37 grams, which is about the limit of the amount of weight I’d want to add to my Air.

The clear phoneback from suti with pro max = 275g , so around 41/42g for pro max
The matter clear phoneback with pro max = 280g, so around 47g

No screen protector on... also might vary by 1-2g as its just random old scale i had layin around

They offered carbon fiber for the previous models. Per Suti, carbon fiber is not confirmed for the new models at this time ☹️

Was the carbon model lighter? I thought it was just a sticker…
I emailed Suti a few weeks ago before placing my order.

The carbon fiber is closer to the 2.3mm and the clear closer to 4mm. Silicone is in the middle.

I didn’t inquire about the weights though, but based on the above, carbon fiber has to be lighter.

Does your Matter phone back wiggle left and right on the bottom half? The top is super sturdy but the bottom half moves when my palm digs into it. Seems like I got a defective one and the magnet isn't as strong on the lower half portion.

Defective suti and matter phone backs 🙃
Yes as a matter of fact it does.

@strkt1192 I did register my Matter phone back with the warranty QR code that came one the packaging, so if anything changes, I will be emailing them. I was thinking of sending them a video of me sliding the bottom of the case, but knowing them, they’re probably going to say the MagSafe magnets will prevent it from falling off.

I emailed them so hopefully they can make it right. With enough force if u push left or right the magnet comes off. It should stay still imo and not wiggle.
