So on my 17 pro max, I've been using a lonli edition blue case the last few days. At 40g I thought it was a little heavy and bulky, but otherwise very comfy: The leather feels great in the hand, the buttons are fantastic, though there is a little play in the camera button, and the plateau edge is covered in leather and sits great on a table without sliding around.

That said, it was expensive, and I had the opportunity to get a belemay leather case very cheap. It feels shinier, the plastic plateau trim just barely goes past the cameras so it offers minimal protection (but it does offer protection!), and because the plateau trim is plastic, the phone effortlessly slides around the table. The buttons are terrible, and the power button had zero feel at all when I first used it....

Then I tried to take the dang thing off. I had to use some plastic coupon cards I had laying around because THAT STUBBORN THING JUST DID NOT WANT TO COME OFF!! ARGH! It makes me never ever want to use a case on my phone ever again. Ever!
I’m glad I’m not alone with struggling to get a case off this phone 😂 I’ve stopped using the Apple clear case because of this reason. Having to ask my husband (who is also struggling with this) to get a case off my phone is just not it. 😂 (and the Apple clear case collects so much dust, taking it off regularly is a must) I’ve never had this problem before and I’ve only now seen other people here and on YouTube complain about this. Sleek and round and slippery is the problem here is guess.

That being said, the ESR Hybrid Cases fit the phone like and glove AND are easy to take off. 👍🏻

Also here's some pictures of that belemay (dark blue) vs the lonli (light blue).

Lets see that case and DentPic!
The phone feels amazing with the leather back and I was just gonna use it at home. Didn’t expect it to fall off the coffee table while I was tapping away on the screen :(

I’ll just have to live with it and not let my OCD get to me

I want to try one of these side less fellas; don’t like price: https://a.co/d/5Fwf3uc

I had the 16 Pro Max version of this case along with a 3D Hot bend glass screen protector that was true edge to edge. Funny enough, that combo was on my phone most of the usage, until I removed the screen protector and just used the case alone. This was mostly to lighten the phone. I had other aramid shells for the 16pm, but always came back to this one because of how it felt in hand. The coating they use felt better than Pitaka or Benks. Didn’t care too much for gimmicky heat detection. Keeping the phone light was mainly why I went with aramid shells for most of my 16PM usage. This is like having a lighter and less protective Phone Rebel Flex, which was a fav. If they made this for the Air, I would order it immediately.

So with this case, is the volume button side open and the side button camera control side closed? I can’t really tell from their dark pics.

I wonder if feel is relative to fiber? For example, my Benks Armor Air is “600d fiber” and my Sunset Pitaka is “1500d fiber.” The Aulumu is listed as “1500. I wonder if your hand just prefers the 1500 vs 600?

Saw this in a picture this morning, just delivered. Buttons seem to work fine,. the camera control was "OK" I added the little "spacer" that came with my Pitaka and it works great. Never been a clear case user, but the black tint on this takes the edge off the color and looks great.

That looks like a nice case.. $39 on Amazon?

You can’t feel the weave like some Benks or some Phone Rebel cases so the weave doesn’t matter so much in this case. It’s more about the coating they use. Like for Pitaka cases, usually they are really smooth and the aramid size is mostly a factor in appearance on how fine the weave is.

Another quick look at the dbrand tank (on a silver pro):

Him struggling to get the phone out of the case is reason enough for me to strike this off my list 😂
I’m truly impressed with my Nomad Traditional Leather Case. It evokes the same luxurious feel Apple’s leather cases once offered, with craftsmanship and quality that stand proudly on equal footing.
