iPhone 17/Air/Pro/Pro Max Cases

Someday I’ll learn to not order direct from small case makers in the first few months after release of the new phones. This year it was Süti that was the first to be problematic, now Pitaka is turning out to be another. I originally ordered a Pitaka Ultra-slim through Amazon back in early September, which was unceremoniously cancelled on the day it was set to be delivered. Now, I’m waiting on a direct order that was placed 10/1 which seems to be in mid-flight limbo somewhere over the Pacific… lol.

I almost never order from smaller case makers. Only exception is Caudabe because if I order on a Sunday, I’ll usually get it by Friday.

Is the Mous significantly stiffer than the Apple along the top above the plateau? Just curious because Mous makes a big deal about that in their marketing.

They are both pretty stiff on that top part but the Mous is definitely more protective and more durable than the Apple. Apple case is more minimal.

Caudabe iPhone 17 PM buttons the same as 16 Pro Max?

Not sure if I need to order need buttons also when ordering a 17PM case?

Emailed Caudabe = Crickets

Caudabe buttons are not interchangeable with the new 17 cases. Going to need new buttons if you want to change colors with the new cases.

Here it is guys in all its glory, and I have to agree with others that the Sheath is one of the best case I’ve ever own! Got the Gray Sheath with Ember buttons.

NOTE: The gray looked darker than I thought, and I love it! And works perfectly with the Torras OrigArmor edge to edge glass protector!

Also NOTE: There is a tiny bit of exposed screen between the OrigArmor and the Sheath, so basically the case doesnt go right up to the edge of the OrigArmor, there is about ~1mm exposed gap.

Lastly, the rattle is present with the case empty, and if you intentionally try to shake it, then yes there is a big rattle. But once I put the phone inside, the rattle is hardly present and sounds worse than it is:

Thank you for using your case normally. I don’t like shaky buttons but you have to be shaking it like a musical instrument to even hear it. Not a concern imo.

Cameras sit under ring better than Apple? How much more protection? Mostly thinking about when laying down that side.

Definitely at the bottom end of "mid tier". They're not badly made but they don't feel premium. I only ever buy them as a temporary case.

Took several days, but finally got my return label from Caudabe for the Frost Synthesis. Now I’m sure the refund will take weeks, but didn’t make sense to spend $50 on something I’d never use.

I think they're crap too. I had a few in the past and they either broke or got banged up so quick I didn't want to use them.

...apart from the Enzo, especially this year. Great fit, great buttons and what ever coating they've put on the aramid (which is beautifully textured) doesn't show fingermarks.

Camera protection on the Mous Limitless is more than Apples. Drop protection all around is gonna be better on the Mous Limitless for sure.

Full disclosure: I'm a very light phone user and I understand the Air isn't for everyone. 3 hours of screen-on time a day would be a lot for me. That being said, my Air, which I've had since launch, has ruined me as far as size and weight go. I see these Pro and Pro Max cases posted in this thread and they look super thick to me now.
