I will add; much less likely to drop phone in grip to begin with though.
As far as between Mous and Grip - very similar. Without measuring id say Grip is marginally smaller maybe.
I have gone back to my Torro leather case as I prefer real leather rather than an alternative. Hopefully Bellroy will take my case back for a refund. The case is good but it just isn’t the same feel as a proper leather one. Looking forward to see what the Woolnut case is any good or the dBrand Grip with a real leather back skin which I should have incoming at next week some point.
Ok you said much less likely to drop the phone in the Grip I get that but a drop would be most likely from chest high to the ground. Are there other cases that will protect just as good as the Grip in that scenario that are less chunky? If the Grip is only marginally smaller then I would go with the likes of the Mous because of superior drop protection, unless you’re in situation where you’re going to throw your phone in the air like Mous commercials.

Get a Nomad Modern and call it a day. Best leather and TPU hybrid.

Oh it’s for the Air. Sorry, I don’t notice that. Yeah, they only make the one for the Air. I will say my wife has it and it’s gorgeous, but if you’re wanting something more protective then it’s probably not a good choice. I really liked this case on my Air, but after removing it just a couple of times it became very loose at the bottom corners. Had to return it…
Tried it and wasn’t a fan of how smooth the leather was. It has zero texture and the sides felt bulky to me. Not a fan of how they’re beveled inwards on the sides
That sucks. My wife’s seems fine so far but she’s only had it a few days. I’ll look out for that.
The regular leather one is smooth. If you want more textured get the Horween one. I have both the traditional Horween and the regular modern. The modern has thicker sides because it’s supposed to be more protective. I like them both, but the traditional is my daily.
One other issue I noted with Horween leather is it can stain some surfaces it comes into contact with, at least when it’s new. It has a great feel and aroma though.
Definitely going to use the Grip as my only case going forward. Very happy with the fit and form factor and its protective enough for me.
Do you have a skin with it? Any pics? I saw a YouTube video without a skin and the back was covered in fingerprints. Curious if that’s the case for anyone here
I don’t have pics but I can assure you my “Cosmic Orange” skin attracts way more finger prints than my Grip did bare.
How’s the form factor? Curved edges that align with the form of the iPhone?

Tried both the regular and horween versions of the modern and while the horween was better it still doesn’t have almost any texture to the leather.
I don’t like the traditional leather because it shows the bezel of the phone (hence why I like the TPU/leather hybrid cases)
I had a matte black skin on it for the first half a day before peeling it off. The case feels way better without it.
Feels great in the hand and I would say it follows the iPhone's curves.
Yes it got shipped through Amazon for shipping logistics only, says I can’t return it through them or contact them for issues. It’s arriving tomorrow. Ordered wed or thur I honestly can’t remember.
This is the first leather case I’ve tried since the old Apple ones were discontinued, so I can’t say what kind of texture other cases have, but my Horween has more texture than the Apple ones did.
You can see the color of the phone at the sides on the traditional, but I like that.
I had that happen with a Pitaka slim case. It had clearly been used by the fingerprints on the back and it may have been dropped because it had what looked like a ding on one of the corners.
I just returned it and passed on getting another one.
