This is my concern, especially with the midnight. Add in how slippery the back is, and I’m not sure this is the case for me. Might be best served in my black Mous.

Sheath compared to paragon is a tough call. I like them both.

I can't get over its resemblance to spray-on pickup truck bed liner. That's what it evokes in my mind anyway.
Objectively, that should be a good thing, but subjectively/aesthetically, I'm not sure I want that on a phone case.
But, that's why the Paragon is an option.
Now, I await excommunication from this thread.
I like the Sheath just slightly better. If they can put the texture that’s on the camera plateau all over, the Paragon would be the best 17 series case hands down no contest.
Caudabe deserves credit; they’ve developed a bit of a cult following. So yeah, be careful what you say around here. 😉
I understand the appeal of the Sheath texture, but I begin to tire of it in short order. I think the truck bed liner analogy is a good one. I’ve always said it feels like carrying around a rock in your pocket. 😂
Over here I’m in a consistent rotation of Pitaka>Beats>Mous. After making an impulse purchase of a Sheath yesterday, I realized there’s 0% chance it’s going to wedge its way into that rotation, so I requested a cancellation. Now I wait to see if they cancel the order or rush to ship it… lol.

A following so good that Caudabe were absolutely bashed to the end of the earth with declarations that no more money would be spent with them. Arguments and accusations being thrown around surrounding youtubers and reviewers.

I agree, the Sheath may feel a bit strange in a hand - sometimes like a brick, sometimes like a velvet… velvety brick 🙂

Well, I’m out of the paragon. Definitely not for me. The back is way too slick for me, & there’s already 1 small scratch that my OCD can’t handle.

The Mous black leather always worries me with the MagSafe ring rearing its ugly head under the leather panel. Has Mous fixed the MagSafe ring problem with these latest cases?
I have seen many reports stating the Tech Woven case scratches your phone and in the case of dropping the iPhone it actually dents the side. Could someone confirm if this is actually true?
I had one for the 17 pro max and now 17. Not seeing anything yet.
I’ve had mine for over 2 months and have no scratches at all. I’ve also had one drop but still no damage to the case or phone.

Once I started thinking about it, I came to the realization that there has been very little real world feedback on the Air version of the Sheath. This led me to take a closer look at the few photos and videos that are posted online. It appears camera alignment might be an issue on some copies, along with a very minimal lip, and possibly a button rattle problem. Not feeling in the mood to once again be a beta tester for Caudabe (been there, done that), I made the decision to cancel. Of course, I should have done this before placing the order, but that’s where the idiot part comes in. 😂
