Just bought an Ember Paragon to try. All my cases are black so will be a nice change to have something brighter. Will put my Sheath black buttons on it, are the CC buttons swappable? Will swap with my black Sheath if so.

Bit annoyed that a 30% discount code means you have an extra £6 shipping charge that diminishes the 'reward' a fair bit. 👎🏻
My Paragon had some white line on CC button that didn’t effect the functionality but it looked ugly so I swapped it with CC from the 1st Paragon that was defective and CC button wasn’t even attached properly - been using it with no issues. It’s not swappable per se, but it wasn’t like glued to the case or difficult to pop out in my experience. I just tried placing the Sheath one on Paragon and it also works, at least for base 17 model the buttons are the same.

As a Sheath owner happy with the scoring. The Flolab isn't attractive to me at all, and that is part of my scoring. Not sure I have any complaints on the Sheath MagSafe strength either...Of all my cases, the Thinborne has the strongest MagSafe by far
Yea I was surprised with the Sheath scoring too. As far as MagSafe my Pop Socket works good with it, wouldn’t want it stronger. Caudabe's dense proprietary ShockLite polymer isn’t BS looks like.

It’s not like the Grip, as in it’s not rough-grippy. It feels like a stone, really. That’s the best way to describe it.
You either like the Sheath or you don’t, there’s no in between.

Doesn’t feel like a stone or brick to me. Although I really like the Paragon, the Sheath has much better grip which is a top criteria for me.

I ran the Paragon from Friday until not too long ago and when I switched back to the Sheath, I was like “ah this has better grip hands down”.

Heard from Caudabe about returning the paragon. Instead of returning it as I'm in the UK. They want me to send them a pic of the case cut in two with the back fully scratched up, then they'll refund me.

I obviously understand why they've requested that, but how utterly wasteful.

Cost pennies to make so no bother to them

Interesting times ahead for me. I typically use a dBrand skin, and have one on my iPhone 17 Pro Max.
However, I just ordered a blue (or whatever colour it is called) TechWoven Apple case. It is due for delivery in a few days.

So, I guess we'll see...

They could do what Amazon has been doing, which is sell returns as new merchandise, which often results in a second round trip of shipping before the product ends up in the landfill anyway. Cutting up the case might be better than all of that unnecessary shipping, which is just additional waste on top of the initial waste.

Send it over this way as im based in the UK ;) im still on the fence about the Paragon vs the Summa for my iPhone 17 Pro, but from what I have seen on the forums here, its prolly a little bit too bulky and the back is too slippery.

Yep.

And they will know that people have requested returns for minor little things ie, the moulding seam marks, little imperfections in the finish and think "we'll give you your money back but we want the case destoryed beyond possible resale condition first so you can't profit further from it".

Which, I know for a fact happens as I have seen cases with 'issues' (which have been refunded or replaced by Caudabe or other case manufacturers) posted on here by some users being sold on eBay as "brand new" by those same users without declaring these 'issues' such is the insignificance of the 'issue'.

I myself have done this once with a 16 Pro Moonstone Paragon I'd had replaced due to a scratch but the scratch was declared on the listing.

Spigen require this too, it's ridiculous, ESR on the other hand let you keep anything.

It's not ridiculous though, is it?

They want to return because the case isnt for them. Caudabe have offered to refund without return (costs to lyceumHQ) as long as they can destroy the case ie, not sell on as per my post above. They will then also not potentially restock a 'used' case and send out to another customer.

I personally think that this is quite a good offer from Caudabe and good customer CS.

Well in my situation i thought it was, the case that wasn't meant to yellow yellowed after 3 months use so i bought this up with Spigen and before they refunded me they wanted it cut in half which i did and got refunded.

Same problem with ESR, they just apologised and sent another case and to keep the other one...that's good customer service.

That's how it should be done in my opinion if they claim their cases dont yellow.

Welp used the sheath for a over a week and went back to the Gen 7 and just realised how much more sharp and cumbersome the camera lip on the Gen 7 is, it really annoys me when im holding my phone on the back

With how thin the Gen 7 is the raised lip is almost as thick as the case itself lmao

Back in my good old Sheath, Techwoven next maybe 😆

Okay that’s fair enough and a different argument entirely.

We were discussing the fact Caudabe offered to refund providing the above member could destroy the case because they didn’t want it, not because of an issue with it.

How it's weight and thickness of this one? According to website, it seems to be little bit heavier and thicker.
Thanks.
It’s thicker than the Sunset/Moonrise, but just barely. The main thing I noticed is the better fit (more secure all around) and better pinky comfort at the bottom near the USB port.

The 600D is the thinnest of the bunch, but the cutouts are also the sharpest.
