What’s next on the list?
Another copy of the Phone Rebel Gen 7 for the Air. I returned two due to different issues, hopefully old stock has sold through and I’ll get a good copy this time.🤞🏼My preference is for ultra thin cases, but I have a real need for a beefy case often enough. I have a couple of Mous cases, which are nice, but I like the flush sides on the Gen 7, which makes the phone feel almost as thin as when using an ultra thin, while also providing good protection. It’s heavy as heck, but you can’t have it all.

Currently out for delivery- so I’ll have a good look at it later this afternoon. Only concern is I’ve heard it slippery.
It’s here and its mediocrity at its finest.

Pros:
Fit is top notch
Buttons are very tactile
The back doesn’t show finger prints

Cons:
Most slippery case I have
Buttons rattle like a musical instrument
Speakers are partially covered by lanyard attachment piece

For only $30 it’s fine, but the hype is way over blown imo.

That’s interesting. My version for the pro has no button rattle whatsoever, it’s also no longer slippery after using it for a week. Only real downside is that my white version absorbed color from every pants I wore this past week… real bummer.

It’s interesting you say that, when I put it on the phone the first time my daughter took my phone and asked me why the buttons move so much.

Needless to say, I’ve already contacted them about a return

Well that’s 3 strikes for the Gen 7 for the Air. This one is slightly buckled on one side below the plateau, with the aramid fiber inset starting to peel up in that location. The box had one of those suspicious Amazon return bar codes on it, so I’m pretty sure this was someone else’s defective case that was returned and resold to me. Disappointed with both Phone Rebel and Amazon, a complete waste of time.

Currently back in the Moonrise Pitaka Edge, which has consistently been my favorite case for a while. When I need the extra protection, I’ll throw on a Mous or the Spigen Urban Fit.

Yeah the hype is way too overblown. I’ll give it that the fit is excellent. But that’s about the extent of it
After speaking with Floblab, a return is foolish. the initial shipping cost of $8+ is not refunded, then I am expected to pay to ship back with tracking (roughly another $7-$10). Might as well keep it and attempt to sell it.
