From what I can tell, I do not have the warping around the buttons. You can slightly see the silver frame around the top 1/4 and I noticed this out of the gate, so I don’t think it’s a wearing out over time issue.
To me it is less noticeable than the Techwoven, where more of the silver frame is showing around the whole device.

With how thin and light the case is, good MagSafe, and not terrible with fingerprints, it has been my go to case so far. Personally, I am willing to overlook a very slight imperfection with the fitment for a sub $25 example. Yours sounds maybe worse and worth trying to see if another example would be better, but I doubt would be perfect.
Thanks for the response. I have another one on the way to see if it’s any better.

The TW, Apple silicone, Moft etc showing the silver frame is intentional though and is even all around so it’s a proper fit and doesn’t bother me in that case.

The Ridge from the sound of it just has a poor fit around the front. I’ll report back with the other one which is due to arrive today.

Again it is a great case nonetheless but the poor fit around the screen is a pretty bad flaw. So many cases have proper fit that cost $20 and this one is $75 with poor fit that’s unacceptable imo. I know you got it $25 and so did I, open box Best Buy.

Do you know of any cases that are like the TineeOwl texture wise but slimmer and lighter? Not named Sheath btw as that’s too grippy for me. I’m still searching. The TO being kinda rounded and curved does feel amazing in hand though.
I have a mous leather back case and it’s great. The leather, the first few days is not very grippy, but once you use it a few days, if it’s oil from your hands or just wearing in the leather, it’s perfect.

Did a quick google and it looks pretty clean. Can I see some pics of it? Those website photos usually don’t do cases justice lol
Be aware that it’s heavier than it looks—the version for the Air weighs 46 grams. It’s a very nice case otherwise.

Verizon has recently had it on sale for half price. A couple of weeks ago they had it marked down to $7 (grabbed one then).

Agreed. Somehow the Pitaka is grippier while being less annoying than the stone-like texture of the Sheath.
I would say the Pitaka is grippier due the coating on the aramid and texture of the weave. This is more pronounced on the moonrise and sunset versions.
This is actually music to my ears. What are the general cons of the case aside from good drop protection? Sharp edges? Front lip protection not great right?

Also I’d be interested in black. Is this version 600D Black/Grey (Twill) (PitaTap™), the same as the Moonrise and Sunset?

Yea seems a bit too hefty for me

I like the feel and curves of the TO, but it’s too heavy and big. I only lasted an hour, so it’s back in the box. I don’t know if I should send it back or hold onto it. The Gripmunk case I bought for $5.29 feels so much better and is thinner. I’m back in my silver bumper.

Yea it’s such a damn shame because the rounded corners are honestly the best case I’ve felt in my hand in years no BS. It feels that good to me. Do you know the weights between the 2 is the Gripmunk that much lighter?

General cons: close to zero drop protection; zero screen lip; cutouts (but can also be a plus). This case has just slightly more protection than a skin so requires extra care in handling.

General pros: light as a feather; looks amazing; just the right amount of grip; it’s pretty addicting, seeing and feeling the bare metal of the device.

The 600D Twill is not the same as the 1500D (Moonrise, Sunset, etc.). The 600D finish is smooth (so much less grippy), and it’s a world class fingerprint magnet.

Darn it the hunt continues. If I had an orange phone the sunset would be perfect for it. Don’t really care for blue and I don’t want something slick so the 600D is a no go. I can not find the case that hits everything I want. Ughhh

Thanks for the feedback

How’s the Apple Silicone case? Does it feel like typical cheap silicone cases that kinda get stuck in the pants pockets or is it a bit smoother? I’m running out of options here as far as not too bulky with decent grip but not sheath grip.

It seems as if they’ve made subtle changes over the years, but silicone is silicone; it’s still going to turn your pants pockets inside out and collect lint like crazy. They also get greasy and if you’re drop prone they start coming apart in no time (my wife can destroy one in a month or two).

It does get stuck in pockets but tbh I think that’s like all silicone cases. The fit and feel are amazing though! Mine doesn’t really collect lint as I’ve noticed after about a weekish or two.

I do not have anything to measure the weight of the Gripmunk but I’m there definitely is a noticeable difference between the Gripmunk and the Tineeowl for the Pro Max.

You’re right. Personally what are your top 2 cases?
