Since prices have increased for MacBooks, what do you think the price of the iPhone 18 Pro will be? Will it stay at $1099, or will it increase

If the high end people go for the Ultra, then the price rise would cannibalize Pro sales. After all the 18 (non-pro) would have to be at least $900 to the 18 Pro $1200.

It is always a risk raising prices as you naturally see less people bothering to upgrade. I won't be paying any more for a device next year than I did for my iPhone 16 PM. That was my self applied limit and lets face it, we don't need to pay more.

I'm guessing it goes 100 dollars up. The reason is because I think part of the increase will be subsidized by the iPhone Ultra, which will see a higher starting price than would normally be the case, and there's no price increase for an unreleased product. So I think the Ultra will be for those with deeper pockets or those who are such fans of the iPhone that they won't be able to resist, and the high price of that will help overall with the price of the 18 Pro. That's my expectation, anyway. It depends on what Apple forecasts for their Ultra sales.

At this point I'm not going to speculate price increases on iPhones because if it happens it happens. There is nothing that can be done about this and if you really want to have a particular iPhone then you will just get it. Yes it will suck if prices increase a lot on these iPhones. When they came out back in 2007, I never thought I would see iPhones reach or exceed $1000 (enter iPhoneX) then $2000 (enter iPhone 17 Pro Max 2TB) and then the projected price for a max storage tier iPhone Ultra (close to $3000).

At this point if I get the new iPhone it will be in the max storage configuration and I have already consigned myself to paying the higher amount just to get the device in the max storage configuration.

Ultra can't subsidize 18 Pro/Max, 17, 17e, and Air/2. Simply not enough dollars to go around.

Ultra production is expected to be 1/20 the production of 18 Pro/Max.

Im guessing everything that hasnt gotten a price increase yet will by 100-200 dollars. so if i were to buy an iphone 17 pro max today at 1199, id expect the 18 pro max to be 1399.

sucks but blame AI for that.
