That's strange....just get rid of the ".zip" and it should work.

I did and it appears to be loading. Of course I am re-syncing so it will be a little while before I can play. Did you get yours working again? At one point it I disabled tethering my MMS feature appeared to come back although I couldn't use it.

No, I haven't got it working again. I did test the tethering (which worked), maybe that killed it? I'll try reloading the carrier file again and see what happens. It almost seemed like random when it started working, I had no success doing any MMS activity on non-iPhones with my SIM card.

BAH HUMBUG.

I've had MMS and Tethering working along with YouTube and Visual Voicemail since day one. There must be something in those IPCC you guys are using that are causing these problems, or some prior Jailbreaking causing the problems, in which you are on your own.

They key to MMS is your plan, the iPhone plan only gets MMS messages as SMS messages. You need to be on a Family Messaging plan or a non-iPhone "Messaging Plan." Once you do get that changed, you use settings similar to above then MMS will work.

Yup, just did a restore and setup as new and you are correct, after loading the ipcc I've got it all (including my custom logo ;) )

I finally got my MMS working again by re-inserting the SIM card several times and switching Airplane mode off and on. When you get it working MMS DOES work, but it's quite spotty for me.

odyssey,

could you email me your .ipcc file that has working MMS. I have the file for tethering, but i cant get my phone to connect to my MBP right now and i hve wifi anyways so tethering isnt a big deal. but i would really like to try the MMS.

if so email me at JPoore89@gmail.com

thanks

Edited those settings and started the phone over and over again, still no luck.

Would you mind sharing the file that seems to be working for you guys with me? My email is dlopez628@gmail.com

I am surprised at how all these legit iphone users are going through so much trouble for making the features in OS 3.0 work, by hacking there phones and taking much more risks then it would to jailbreak there phones for tethering, mms, etc... Seriously you think apple wouldn't void your warranty if they found out you guys were doing this? It's worse then jailbreaking (from a legits point of view) and its harder to get rid of as well...bleh.

It takes much more than a file to get MMS to work, you can't just assume it'll start working. You need to have the right "Messaging" plan, and the right IPCC file.

Its actually not that hard to get rid of. I've got a backup of the default .ipcc file and a full restore resets it as well.

I'm not all that worried about it, tell the truth. Its a lot harder to kill and iPhone than you'd think, so long as you know what you're doing.

I'm on the family messaging plan (which as MMS) and I thought I had a good IPCC file (hence my request for a one that we know works).

If someone would be so kind, I'd like a copy of the file too.
