iPhone 3GS Tries to Stop Bullets...Loses...Badly... (VIDEO)

Only in America, I suspect, would someone destroy a piece of expensive electronics in a vain attempt to get his 15 minutes of fame rather than selling it for $300+ on Craigslist. That's not even taking into account that he'll have to pay off his contract. I know who looks stupid now, and it isn't Apple. :rolleyes:
 
I always found it PATHETIC to own a gun but using it to destroy such an expensive piece of material is a none sense...This is actually spooky to see such people on earth...Of course this could only happen in the US...
 
FAKE. If you watch the video slowly, you can clearly see the iPhone leap out of the way just as the bullet is about to hit, and the bullet ends up in the branch behind.

That 3GS, it really IS fast...

I watched the whole thing, mainly cause thats such a solid Arcade fire song. But at the 4:00 mark I think you see the "Ghost in the machine" die (its face).
 
I don't necessarily agree with all his points, but it is a good video and the music went well with it.
 
Yeah that really showed Apple!! What kind of dumbass do you have to be to think Apple would give a **** if some dumbass redneck wastes 300 bucks by destroying his phone? The music sucked ass too, dumb freaking redneck!

You can do more than that. You can send calls to voice mail then listen while the voice mail is being recorded. You can record calls. You can make it act like a secretary--set it so that callers have to identify themselves before you decide whether to accept the call or send it to voice mail. You can create groups of contacts, then set a different greeting for each group. You get a (somewhat accurate but imperfect) transcription of voicemail sent to your email.

Heck, that's just what I use. For all I know, there's more you can do. Google Voice is a good application and it has many functions that DO NOT seem to duplicate iPhone functionality.

Although I still wouldn't shoot my iPhone. I think that's a bit of an overreaction. I mean, the guy can just switch to a different phone. Fun video, though.

Yes, and defeating the (then) most powerful empire on Earth to become an independent nation conceived in liberty and justice is JUST LIKE destroying your high-end phone because the company that manufactures it gets to decide what software goes on it. Those two things are EXACTLY THE SAME. Yeah, right.

Why does it have to be a redneck? Rednecks don't have iPhones.. lol They see no point in spending money on a fancy cell phone when their trac phone works great, not to mention the money that they are saving by NOT buying the iPhone... hell, now they can buy some more shotgun bullets, for the SOB's that come in their yard trying to sell them life insurance.. "Get off my property, Im gunna live forever you sumbitch.."

I wonder how far he was from the target. I was impressed that it stop the 1st round. 9mm don't give much punch, but they have great penetration on armor, hence why the 9mm is used by nato. When I replace my G3 I will shoot it with my .45 to see how it fairs to that.

Cool video. If you want to make a statement, at least make it cool, better than logging on to a forum and b1tching about it.

PAthetic is the word, pathetic is just the goberment having them, and the people not being equally allowed to have them, I always thought the goberment was the people, they should get rid of all those guns goberment and people. Then no more iPhones will be brutally murdered for youtube.
 
shot a nextel phone years ago because of lousy service and maybe I overreacted but boy it felt good putting that phone out of my misery.
And it did not hold out as well as the iphone with only one round

I think this should be a top priority of our Government to protect the Iphones from random rednecks with guns. I will send a letter off to President Obama tonight. How ever you should know the goberment was our last administration.
