yikes - seems a lot of work to get beta2 on, I'm glad I've held off.

For those of you who do NOT have access to the SDK release notes, where are you actually getting the beta 2 release from?

Come on, you already know. They didn't make the dev account with up to 100 devices for no reason. It's so devs can share there access to the new OS and have others test apps who may not be devs themselves.

im on my friends account and i have no way to contact him for the notes thats why im asking...

No, they made it so devs could get beta testers for their apps...

They STILL didn't fix the wallpaper bug on the iPod touch 2G, there's an effort but it DOESN"T WORK. arghghghhghghghghghghghghgh that was all I really cared about.

How do you know? and what do you mean by "there was an effort?"

I just downloaded it. I know there was an effort because there was an added preview screen in wallpaper settings, but it still won't change the homescreen. And, options in the photos app are no longer disabled as they were in beta 1- it even has an option for setting a picture as wallpaper but it doesn't work. frustrating.

interesting, i would agree... What are the changes that you can see? I have a 3G Iphone so i am interested to hear the bug fixes... Is it faster?

Well the 2G firmware seems to be the sad stepchild, so I reckon it's gotten the least amount of improvements. It's really slow. Still all sorts of weird iPod bugs- especially with my beatles album art, which don't show up in cover flow.

if your having issues with your iPod report the bugs here:
https://bugreport.apple.com

best way to log a bug is to download the iPhone Configuration utility, install and run ICU, plug your iPhone in, click on the iPhone in left hand side click on console then do what you do to see the artwork going wrong then in IPU select all the text lines in the console and click the save button in bottom right corner save the txt file to desktop and report the bug with txt file attached

I have no passcode on my phone but it still gives an error 3000 in iTunes. Anyone know whats up with this?

this is why you really need a dev account with these betas as it tells you in the release notes what you need to do to update on both mac and windows

Anyone having trouble downloading the SDK beta 2 off the dev web site? The OS beta 2 file came down fine but the SDK is showing 0 bytes...

I don't think the release notes help with this at all. I followed what it said and still get this error.
