Mbell talks about android more then Android fans do.

It's getting to the point where I get excited to see a thread on macrumors that's not about android.

I'm a member of two forums at androidcentral. You can scroll back 5+ pages and not find a single mention of an iPhone. You can't even go 5 threads from the top and not find a thread about android.

I wish there was a thread specifically design for this garbage.

Respectfully, how is a post like this just not fueling the fire and adding to the problem that you so wish didn't exist?

I find more than a few flaws in the article itself. First it only reflects Sprint & AT&T, no Verizon I wonder why. Second it shows only a couple of models for Android when in fact each of the two carriers has more than two models to choose from. Lastly Android OS activations in US outpace iOS activations so I guess Android is doing something right.

Now from a device perspective their is plenty of bias for either side and frankly a lot of iPhone buyers get it for the fashion statement or money factor it projects, which is just fine. Yes a large number of buyers also buy it because its what they want.

I have the iP4S for many reasons and the screen size is NOT one of them. Its too small and kiddy like for my taste but I am living with it for now. I don't see LTE as a big enough jump to get the next iPhone and hope the rumors of a bigger screen (3.8-4.0" screen) do happen.

Anyone can parse the numbers to reflect whatever they want them to be.

I own a lot of Apple hardware, and will continue to do so, it doesn't mean I think Android or WP7 is crap, there is plenty of room for improvement just like there is for iOS.

Android forums are boring and these trolls are highly insecure about their purchases, so they feel the need to come to an iPhone forum and try to justify it by bashing the iPhone and iOS.

You consistently bash Android all the time, your description seems to resemble you.

In fact you even started this thread stating that iPhone4S is selling more than Android phones...

If anything you are trolling because users at macrumors knows the benefits and disvantages of each OS, you should reconsider because creating threads that clearly target Android is trolling activity where as the sensible people here can have a long look at both OS and find faults with both.

If anything your the one trolling by trying to put people on the defensive for stating the truth.

Don't like people talking about how the iPhone is much better than Android on an IPHONE FORUM? Feel free to get lost over to the android forums...

Since when do I hate when people claim iPhone is better than Android?
I just input my opinions about how both work, it's you guys that are too extreme and I'm just pointing out conventional thoughts that you guys seem to be lacking.

It's highly inaccurate to compare iPhone4S sales to android devices when the majority of the flagship devices hasn't even come out yet.

It's like the week after an iPhone is released, 90% of all activations will be an iPhone but does that mean it will stay that way, nope. One has to expect the market to reach levels of equilibrium to balance out. It is similar here where there is no point in comparing sales level since most devices haven't even been released yet while the iPhone was released last year.

By the way I already have accounts on Macrumors and Android Central

I like the iPhone as much as anybody but lets be realistic here...

This doesn't include the LARGEST Android carrier. This article means nothing.

I currently own a 4s and I also like Android the problem for me is the lack of consistency that draws me to iOS. For example, before the 4S I had an Evo 3D so if I liked the 3D camera I couldn't move to the next HTC device because it's not 3D capable. What i like about apple is that you can expect everything from a prior version product to be there just maybe improved.

There are two things I see wrong with this statement. 1) If you liked the 3D camera, you couldn't get that with the iPhone that you moved to after the fact either. 2) There hasn't be a true successor to the EVO 3D yet. Will it have a 3D camera? Beats me, but just because HTC has launched another phone since the EVO 3D, it doesn't mean it's the successor. It's like buying one make and model car, say Nissan Sentra, and then replacing it with another model (same make), Say Nissan Rogue, and being disappointed that certain features are missing or not the same.

Doesn't surprise me. The iPhone is made by Apple, an American company. Most products do better on their home soil.

Android is far more popular than iOS here in Europe.
It's not only that, it's the price difference here.

Can't talk for all European countries but here in the UK and some other countries the price difference on contract between lets say a Galaxy Nexus/Galaxy SII/Xperia S is massively cheaper than an iPhone 4S.

Yeah definitely. My galaxy S2 cost nothing up front and I get 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB internet for £32 per month. A comparable tariff on the same network for the iPhone, with a free phone, would be £46 per month.

Although O2's latest "On & On" tariffs are very good. £60 for an iPhone, £36 per month and you get unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB internet. Best value I've ever seen on O2.
