Most people's complaints include tabs reloading after a very short amount of time, resprings and crashes. Probably due to the Plus's 1GB of RAM and the GPU being required to render things @3x and downscaling it to 1080p.

The 6S will probably be much better if it gains 2GB RAM and CPU/GPU upgrades.

Hi,

I did feel the same about safari on my iPhone 6 Plus but after turning to Google Chrome I'm much happier with much less reloads. Theirs lots of different options. I also use Atomic Browser although support has stopped for it I get no tabs reloads so this leads me to believe it's not just internal RAM but how Safari performs.

But if it is software, how is it underpowered? Underpowered would mean hardware. Software implies iOS9 could fix it, will it, who knows.

If it's software, then it means it's underpowered from the get go as it can't run the OS it was built to run. At least if it's a hardware fault, then it's an issue isolated to the individual phone rather than the entire model.

The underlying cause may be underpowered hardware, but if Apple says it's a software problem then that's a lot more worrying as it means many may be affected.

I would try another browser if we could set one as default, but since everything opens in Safari I find it hard to switch. Though I'm hopeful that it's just a Safari problem which may one day be fixed!

It's honestly not too bad. A couple apps of mine don't work and the battery was bad the first day I installed it but for some reason it's fine now.

What about the 6+ touch response in landscape mode? Is that being fixes in the beta 1?

The 6+ have some issues with the touch. If you holding the phone in landscape mode, and you using Safari it doesn't register the touch input all the time, you press on a link, but it doesn't work.

For me iOS 9 b1 so far has been the most stable and bug free release for the iPhone 6+. Gone are the hateful landscape bugs, and generally it's a much more pleasant user experience. And it's a beta 1. I honestly wanted to smash the iPhone since buying it. The thing that stopped me was the belief that Apple would fix a significant bug like that. It took them 9 months.

Can you confirm that landscape bug bad touch response have been fixed?

I can't find any way to replicate it anymore so I assume it's been fixed. Previously I could always replicate it when I showed my friends.

This is a huge annoying but i see every time for example in Safari. I glad to hear that's probably being fixed according on what you say.

Thanks buddy. As a non developer can i report bugs on public beta? Or is that only if you are a developer?

LOL... I felt the same way. I don't care about the cost. I have enough disposable income to buy another phone. I've fantasized about smashing my phone with a sledge hammer while a friend records it and then sending it in for warranty repair. I doubt I could get a copy of the video to Cook, but Youtube would suffice.

I think the battery drain is the most annoying problem.

And some slow Camera opening times (and some random crashes of Camera in different apps, like Messages or Messenger or Notes).

I have had quite a lot of issues with iOS 9 B1 on iPhone 6+. While the phone is asleep, I usually press the home button to wake it up. When doing that it will wake up the phone, but it will also prompt Siri to listen without asking. So I have to lock it back and I have to press the hold button to wake up and slide the screen. When the home screen comes on, the phone is in landscape mode even when im holding it long ways in my hand. Anyone else having this issue?

In my experience, iOS9b1 has been AWFUL on the iPhone 6+. I didn't do a clean install (then again, you shouldn't HAVE to) but it consistently runs hot to the touch, the battery last about half as long as it used it, there are a lot of jerky animations, and it crashes quite a bit. In fact, it's bad enough that I would downgrade in a second, if doing so wouldn't completely neuter my Apple Watch, which I stupidly installed the beta on as well.

I can second EVERYTHING mentioned above

Does anyone on an iPhone 6+ with iOS 9 also have the issue that phone calls are both silent on both the caller and receiver ends? I can make and receive calls, but neither the person I'm calling or I can hear anything.

I have been using iOS9b1 for a few days on my 6+ and I had to say
If you haven't done so, don't.

Even with iOS8.4b4 I could manage to drain about 10% battery per 1 hour usage, and great standby battery life.

With iOS9b1, stand by battery life is awful, it's even worth than the 6 on iOS8.3.

Let's see if b2 can do better than this.

iOS 9 is a beta. It's meant for software developers to test their software on the new version.

If you are not a developer, it's still OK to download and install the beta on your personal device, but what really annoys me is when non-developers install the beta and then whine whenever an app doesn't work or their phone is very unstable. It's a beta, it's basically a known law of the universe that betas are generally buggy.

If you aren't a software developer or otherwise don't need it for your job/hobbies, I would suggest that you stay far FAR away from the very first beta or two. I have had to download and install the iOS 9 beta on several devices to run and test my apps on the new version, and to me it seems way more stable than the first iOS 7 and iOS 8 betas, but that's just an impression.

PS. EVERY 1.0 beta version I've ever seen has always had horrible battery life, it happens every year, so don't be surprised.

I was SO excited to try out iOS 9 beta 1, but so far it's been a disaster. My phone is running laggy (expected in a beta, I know), it's hot to the touch without the screen on and I haven't had much luck with the new Siri features either

Noticed lot of people saying this "I know its a Beta but..". If your excited to try a first dev Beta then you have no idea what one is and should stay well clear of it. Its bound to be a bad user experience for you and worse, you end up sounding like a whiny idiot!

I am. This and the battery life going to **** are the only things that really annoy me.

There are definitely some quirks with this beta, but I can't help but feel like the transitions are smoother/quicker for things that were notoriously glitchy on iOS 8. I think they meant what they said about this being a Snow Leopard kind of update.

Yes, I've had this problem. It's pretty frequent too. I'm pleased to see someone else with the same issues.

don't have any issues with 6+ and Beta1 so far apart from the crappy battery life. Every app works, no crashes so far. Best Beta1 in 5 years for me!
