iPhone 6(S)/Plus iPhone 6S - Restoring from Backup Stuck at Time Reamaining: estimating...

Created this account just to say, Seriously I don't even know what happened, but it worked. That's all I can say...
YES! Made it to page 3, went from "estimating" to "1 hour". The bar still hasn't moved very far, but progress! Can finally see it inching forward! Thankful that I'm not going to lose all my data haha. I'm going to back up to my computer from here on out but thank the holy thread!! It must have something to do with waiting patiently. Will continue to update. (Wednesday, 1:34 PM PST, June 8th, 2016).

Just like the rest.. Literally made an account just to post this.
THIS MAGIC IS REAL.. I read 2-3 pages into the thread without looking down at my phone, very carefully and loudly each word in my head because my heart genuinely wanted this magic to work..
Guess what.. Before i could even finish the entire thread my iphone was at the restart apple logo screen.. So i didnt even get to witness "xyz minutes remaining"
Like wow.

My phone was troubling me for last few days, I erased data and tried to restore from iCloud, i waited for hours, it failed many times. And this is 2nd time it's happening, I experienced same months ago and then I had to compromise and use my old backup from my iTunes as iCloud restore just hangs at "Time remaining: estimating.."
After nearly 6-7 hours of trials, I decided to get my all iOS devices and restore the backup from iCloud in my iPhone 5 coz this restore issue is a known issue for iPhone 6/6S. But coz my iPhone 5 is only 16 GB and my backup is more than that, I can't do that. I had only one choice to let go all my data and setup my iPhone as new phone. As last trial, I googled and came across this REALLY MAGICAL post, whoever reading the post got their phone restore working in minutes. This is NOT FIRST TIME that my iPhone 6S doesn't backup from iCloud. Previously I lost some data and today was the day again. I has spend my whole day and I was very stressed over this and I got severe headache too. And this MAGICAL POST JUST DID THE JOB. It went from "Time remaining: estimating.." to 13% then 12% and 11% and I called my friend to my room and showed him this magic. It went back to 13%. I started reading the post again patiently and it was still at 13%, then after some time it showed the screen "UPDATE COMPLETED."
And within few minutes, my phone has finished restoring. KEEP THE MAGICAL THREAD GOING.

OK GUYS.. just signed up to say THANK YOU TO THIS POST AND ALL ITS READERS/PEOPLE WHO POSTED. IT REALLY WORKS. BEEN WAITING ALL DAY, TOOK MY PHONE TO APPLE STORE, CALLED APPLE SUPPORT AND ALL SAID THE BACK UP IS CORRUPTED. AS SOON AS I STUMBLED ACROSS THIS POST, WOW! THE MAGIC BEGINS. JUST UNBELIEVABLE.

Yeah same here.. Read all the thread till the last page, but nothing happened. It actually became worse! From 31 mins to 40 min, 41, 42, 45, 50 mins, and now 54 mins! Definitely not working for me! Sigh..
was hoping for a miracle, But iPhone still shows estimate time remaining, please hellllllp

Yes. I agree! This works!!!!!!! started reading. And thought "Geez, There are a lot of sarcastic people in the world." To be carrying on this hoax... But after the second page of posts it started working. The bar started moving saying 32 minutes. By the time i was signing up for an account, the apple logo came up and my phone is now back to normal. Albeit still w the missing passwords file/note which is why i reset it in the first place. But im going to reset it again to a later backup and see if I can get it. I don't believe in magic. There's got to be some science behind why this works.
Read the entire forum and the progress bar filled but but got stuck at less than a minute remaining. Created a profile to post, as i started typing, the apple logo came up. Yay!

Yes, I signed up just to make this comment, and yes, the issue that drove me to this thread was resolved almost immediately after I read the final post. Do I believe it is magic? Maybe. I am mostly wanting to add to the post so that others have to commit at least more time to the endeavor that I did. You're welcome.
