Pretty much yeah, standard credit card processing from here on... You usually get a 1$/€/£ pending charge (them checking your card details are good etc...) and then they hit you with the full amount, replacing the low value charge when they're ready to dispatch...

I was so confident that I was able to get my phone on the launch day so I listed my iPhone 6+ on ebay 1 day before the pre-order day. and it was sold right after 4 hours later I listed. :D then started refreshing the website around 3.01AM EST until 3.09AM lol. I got my e-mail confirmation at 3.10 AM but my delivery date is 27-29 September. Now, thinking how I am gonna ship my current phone to the buyer. So, wish me luck guys :eek:

You could buy a phone at a carrier store and return it within the return period (14 days for AT&T). Or perhaps the iPhone 7 you want will be available at a store near you on the 16th. Good luck.

Nah....next year will be different. Apple will produce for three extra months, store the phone and do the keynote three months later in December. That way everyone will get their iPhone on release day.

Course the new complaint thread will be how Apple was late announcing the new iPhone 8.

Ever hear of the no win situation? You can please some of the people all of the time. You can also please all of the people some of the time. But you can't please all of the people all of the time.

Nah the same thing will happen next year.
Don't forget this happened last year as well, it's great marketing for Apple. Builds hype.
Here we all are, talking about the iPhone 7.

I'm still waiting for my order to move from processing to preparing for shipment. I've never pre-ordered before so this is new to me.

I got the Apple Watch Series 2 - Delivers Sept 16

My IP 7+ 128GB Matte Black - Delivers Oct 5- Oct 12

Hopefully something will move soon. Was wondering if anyone ever had a product both ship at the same time even though one had a later date?

You could send buyer regular updates like...........shipment pending.................send note, pending delivery date 4-7 October"...............preparing to ship........works for Apple. :rolleyes:

No kidding, you think? At least I have my iPhone 6s Plus to play with till then. I feel sorry for the person that said they need to live with their android phone several weeks longer than expected. Talk about not enjoyable!

Ugh you're so lucky! My order is still processing with a delivery date of October 4-10th. My Apple Watch was going to be delayed until late September so I got it through Best Buy and are getting it launch day.

UPS Track by reference is working for me. Order number minus last two digits. Currently in China in route to UPS.

I canceled an att phone ordered thru Apple when I found it in the store sooner. It was before Nxt, with 2 yr commitment. I cancelled it when I got to store and it took less than 30 min to clear.

I assume the shipping date is today it does't show a shipping date on the tracking yet. Delivery date is for 9/16 it does show that. I order a Plus 128 GB Black.
