I think this has been covered but trying to confirm. I may try to get UPS to hold the phones instead of them being delivered on Friday. Could I do this and still pick them up that morning when the closest UPS opens or would I have to wait until the next day to pick them up?

My original plan has me going out of town on Thursday afternoon. If I can pick the phones up directly from UPS soon as they open on Friday, I may do that and then head out of town.

Thanks...will do. I started a separate thread for it, to see if this has happened to anyone else. After registering for UPS, I get more details, including the shipper is Apple c/o Foxconn. So this is definitely my phone. Still says 9/15 by 10:30a.

I still assume it will change, but until it does...I'm going to be so distracted...

if you submit the request before it goes out on the truck, you can pick it up that morning. so, i would submit the request thursday.

If it isn't, for whatever reason, AT&T can make the change for you easily over the phone (if they don't mess it up--that happened once back in the day before Next when I had a dummy line on my account so that I could upgrade a line every year. I'd upgrade the dummy line on the "off" year and would then switch the numbers once the new phone was delivered.) or in store, if necessary. It takes no time at all. :)

I'm wondering the same thing. You should hold it at a main sorting facility...local UPS stores could be delayed in when they get your package to hold. Past posts say this can be done, but I've had really bad luck with UPS holding packages in the past...and honestly, I'm not sure if it's a good idea to "mess with the system". I'd love to pick it up early though because UPS drops off late to my house, but I think I'll be patient.

Make sure and have them held at a UPS hub and not a UPS store. Holding them at the UPS store will typically add an extra business day. I have picked up at a UPS hub the morning of the release several times.

ugh i don't want to risk it and have to deal with doing that with at&t on launch day so i think to play safe, i'm just going to insert my old SIM from my iphone 6 into the new one before turning it on so i know for sure it's for my number.

So the mystery has been solved--mine did NOT originate stateside. It's in Chek Lap Kok, HK, as of this morning. So I still get to have tracking fun! Wheeeeeeeee! :p anyone else who hadn't seen movement as of yesterday, check UPS MyChoice this morning and you may have a pleasant surprise (it's free, if you don't already have an account.)

It may not. Someone just replied to me that they got their phone a day early so it must be possible. I'm hoping you get it!

Thanks.. yeah was planning on doing that. I need to contact UPS to see which facility it will be going to and then look up the hours.

My iPhone 7 Plus just showed up on my support profile and its the wrong color.... I got a iphone 7 plus gold and it is showing up at a black iphone 7 plus.. anyone else having this issue?

I think it's just a generic image for right now. I ordered a rose gold 256GB Plus and mine's showing black as well.

apple always keeps the "demand" for newer colors high and supplies low. it's an excellent strategy to cause curiosity and anticipation among us fan boys/girls. I always say to myself before the launch announcement that I probably will pass but then the day of keynote comes and I end up being a kid getting impatient for Christmas morning.. in other words launch date. I doubt any of the jet blacks will be delivered this Friday as my apple store source mentioned that they wont have any for pick ups in store this friday either. (at Menlo Park in Edison NJ). They have healthy stock of 7's in last years colors including the matte black and older 7P colors. The elusive jet black delays are all part of Apple's strategy to keep people speculating.

I was also worried I wouldn't have the tracking fun! But just this morning, it showed up on My Choice and is in China.
