Is it safe to assume that if your phone doesn't leave china by Wednesday, you won't receive it Friday?

Is it in the preparing for shipment stage? If so, then maybe it's already at a distribution center within the US and it won't be coming from China.

It just kills me to see how many people have a preparing to s
As a sidenote, not that anyone is going to reply to this as we are all buried in our own questions and concerns, I signed up for UPS my choice and was pleasantly surprised to see the amount of options I have to alter my shipment. One thing, how long do I need to wait and at what order status should I be searching for my tracking number? Yes, my shipment is just in the processing items stage, but I would like to know how to find my tracking number as soon as possible. If anyone's willing to helpDelivers sept 30 - Oct 6

https://www.ups.com/WebTracking/track?loc=en_US&WT.svl=PriNav - Select track by reference number. This generally is the phone number associated with the order. Choose the destination country (US) and your zipcode. If it's not showing anything, you don't have a tracking number yet. With it being a quoted date of Sept 30 - Oct 6 I wouldn't freak out if nothing shows until a few days before the 30th (at earliest) or sometime in that timeframe of the 30th-6th. Once your order status says "preparing to ship" and/or your device shows in your Apple Support Profile (https://supportprofile.apple.com/homePage) then you should have / be able to track.

It's slightly possible. Takes about 8 hours from China to Anchorage, and then another 5 or so to Louisville -- then really depends on where it's got to go from there. I'd say it's a decent (but not great) chance, still possible.

To get your full tracking #, just right click on the webpage, click on view page source then do a find with the last 4 digits. you will find a number of lines, but eventually the set of numbers starting with 1Z will be your full tracking # . Hope this helps

Can't find on page sources , still show xxxxxx8888 . Is there any specific line ?

Don't be too worried... last year I was having major panic attacks as nothing happened with mine (no support profile appearance, no reference number tracking) until the day before. Come Thursday, I found out it'd been sitting in Harrisburg for who know's how long, only a few hours south of me . As long as apple has told you you're getting it on the 16th, you're getting it the 16th.

I've come to a sad conclusion that most JB+ buyers myself included, won't be getting it on launch day. Seems like carriers and even review sites haven't even gotten a JB+ yet, only the 7.Still praying for a launch miracle tho :(

AS someone that works at UPS, the label on your package is scanned a variety of different ways. It is sometimes manually scanned by loaders which updates systematically. Sometimes they don't scan individual packages and just have them all updated on Track My Package by the truck load. However, it is often that your package doesn't get scanned for a variety of reasons. So whenever it does get scanned, whether it is by the hub in Kentucky or in Alaska, your Track my Package will be updated. UPS is good with delivery dates so despite the internal errors that occur, chances are you will get your iPhone in time. If any of your iPhones are shipped to Florida, they will go through my Hub in Orlando. So I will be the one making sure you get your phones on time.;)

I hope! I didn't get a departure scan though and I can't find when another HK flight is leaving for Anchorage. As of now, mine seems like it's just sitting in HK, haha
Yeah same here. Either our phones weren't scanned onto the AK flight and will hopefully show up when the flight to Louisville leaves or I bet we won't leave Hong Kong until the flight that's like 12 hours from now.

Yes hoping that is case for my phone cannot see why it would sit in Hong Kong so long.
Looks like our phones got to HK about 90 minutes before flight 63 left so either:

We got on the AK flight but weren't scanned.

Or

We didn't make the flight because it was already full and there wasn't time and it looks like the next flight to AK is the next flight 63 same time tonight.
