So my phone that left Hong Kong earlier actually went to Tai Wan instead of Anchorage, maybe a stop in between?

Yes same for mine and the same question that seems like a long time from Hong Kong to Taiwan. I noticed that UPS63 went right over that area. Maybe a quick stop? but the time is like 8-9 hours very curious maybe we have wrong plane in mind for us Hong Kong folks?

Same issue I have looked at my two flight apps, and links on browser and cannot find UPS flight for there so not sure what that all means.

Curious, what are your ship dates? Us stuck in in the 27-29 bucket have 6-8 business days which means they should ship starting Monday. Is yours still showing as processing?

edited to say: it also is kind of weird b/c HK and TW are in the same time zone and it def doesn't take 10+ hours to fly from HK to TW haha sooo idk, something seems screwy.

Yep! Me too! Looks like we are for sure on the same plane. Why in the HECK are we in Taiwan now? There are no flights from Taiwan to Anchorage according to flight aware either.

My phone 3....they are all together....curious I would have expected it to go to Alaska directly...

I'm in the 9/27-9/29 boat for my ATT 7+ 256 (Black) with no status changes. I'm pretty sure that if nothing happens in the next couple of hours I'm not getting a launch day surprise (wondering if the sudden stock availability for IUP pick-up orders shifted any bump-ups for the next wave). Since I've been refreshing all over the place I'm curious, what is the order of events that leads to tracking ability? 1. CC charge, 2. UPS, 3. support profile, then 4. "Preparing for shipment"? Maybe then I can stop checking everything and focus on the starting point!

well damn. they're gonna be hauling ass to get our phones to us by friday now that the taiwan flight is delayed for 13 hours...and then it still has to journey from anchorage to louisville then distributed to other hubs...

It's Wednesday two days before release why does it still say Preparing your shipment still? With a delivery date for this Friday? Ordered at exactly the time the app went up finished one min later and received my email

Nice... I believe the UPS tracking number thing worked for me and it says it's in Louisville, KY. I didn't really doubt it wouldn't get here, but I did find it interesting that I didn't have better tracking info cause usually I get info that it's in China -- I don't ONLY get it when it's in the US. But I bet I was so early to order that my stock was already sitting there in KY and literally hasn't moved anywhere. Possible? I don't know... It *does* say that it "arrived" there on 9/13... so it's possible I didn't get an update from China to here.

It's like this every year , wont say shipped until probably tommorow some time. No big deal

You should see a "Shipped" notification either today or tomorrow if it's coming Friday, especially if you're already able to Track by Reference on UPS. At least that was the case for the 6 Plus and 6S Plus.

I hope us Taiwan people can get our phones Friday. Considering the flight won't leave Taiwan for another 12-13 hours, that means they won't get to Anchorage until about 12-1pm CST. Then to KY, then distributed to all the other hubs. I guess its still possible.

Just found out I can do a 2-hour delivery window set up with my UPS My Choice account for $8. Not bad. Stupid billing address is to my parents' house, so having a window will be nice since no one will be home after 1:30 pm Friday. I can go pick it up Let's hope it works....anyone else doing this?

The release version of iOS 10 is actually 10.0.1, because the phones are coming with 10.0.0. The GM for RTM was out mid-late August. I suspect these phones are the ones you would get in the stores. But when you get your phone, check the iOS version. There was some stock piling, but I think you are mostly correct.

GM and Release were both 10.0.1 FYI... they were the identical version.

The couriers have dealt with these every year. No reason to be concerned.

Got all excited for a split second because I got a ship notification from the Apple Store...but it was my case. Not like it makes an iota of difference anyway because I *know* my phone has shipped and is currently en route from Hong Kong to Anchorage, but still.

Edit: Errrr, now it's in Taiwan. Hmm.

LOL.. got the exact same notification for my case and was all excited... and my tracking also now shows Taiwan... grrrrr

Same scenario and I am in Seattle area.

Me too (west coast which many times is an overnight logistics trip for normal orders through the Apple Store) last pre-order season very oddly enough my phone did not come from overseas. So I missed all the flightaware fun. My order did not update until the Thursday before it arrived (last launch date) my cc hold was 3 long days. Shipping from China, or living close to Louisville or another hub or not, or simply where it's coming from to begin with seems to me-
all plays into the start of movement. At least, and only in my opinion. And I have preordered every iPhone (and my Apple Watch) since the birth of this preorder-ness madness.
But. This is ONLY my EXPERIENCE. I'm sure we'll never know exactly how this process works there are too many variables. Plus, what's the fun in that? But I must say I'm getting antsy since I've read others in my configuration starting to move.
