I just can't put a case on any of my phones anymore. Thus far I've faired well. Now watch me break it tomorrow lol.
I tried the no case thing before. Tried it with my 6 and shattered the entire screen not even two weeks after getting it. Had to endure being the laughter of the entire Apple Store when I went to get a replacement phone -_- lol

Awesome! I always wondered how protective the Apple cases are.

I just took the case off the phone to inspect behind it. As you would expect, completely scratch and knick free. Ive had my 6s for 12 months now, and dropped it multiple times. Even on cement! The Apple cases are very durable in my opinion. Definitely worth $50...especially if you can use it two years in a row.

I ordered the Matte Black 128GB. On my orders on Apple it still says Preparing for shipment but I used UPS My Choice and noticed it had been shipped. Left China yesterday, then to Korea today and it arrived in Alaska at 5:26PM today! I'm super excited.

You won't believe this...but I tried the no case thing with my 6 and shattered the screen in the first 3 hours....I kid you not. I was so pissed, you wouldn't believe it. It was my first shattering ever, and i've owned almost every iPhone. lol

I just refuse to believe that only people who pre-ordered within the first 10 min, are the only ones to get it on release day.
28 minutes after for me and it looks like mine has shipped despite saying the 23rd. I couldn't load the damn website until at least 3:15.

OMG!! I would've DIED! I almost had to be picked up off the ground along with my phone when it shattered lol. That was also my first time shattering. Gosh was I hurt lol

i'm still hoping we'll be okay but i wish i knew why ours went from china to hong kong to taiwan instead of china to anchorage like all the other ones? or china to korea to anchorage or china straight to anchorage..i mean, i know we'll never know but it's just so weird that this was the one weird route out of all of them!
Some good questions only someone in UPS could answer why we had such a weird route when other UPS flights out of Hong Kong went direct across mainland China to Anchorage and avoided the issue.

I could be wrong but I had received an alert a while before UPS site said it was scanned in Taiwan. My thought is it was on its way to Anchorage when the weather started to get bad they had to reroute, maybe even back track, and ended up at Taiwan because it was the closest/safest.

quick question - so IF the phones from the Taiwan route do end up being late and getting to the hub late...how would we know if it's ready to pickup or not if they show up later on Friday? does the status update to show its arrived and ready for pickup at the hub? or do we just assume it'll show up later on Friday and go chance it and hope it's there waiting for us? lol

just a random question ..

for those who ordered iphone cases from apple, how long did it take for you to receive those? i ordered one on the 9th and it said it'll take 1-2 weeks (tech 21) from apple...then on the 10th i thought to order an apple one and it has been preparing for shipment since yesterday. i wasn't sure how long it would take to ship but i'd like it for friday when i receive my phone! thanks in advance!

Only the chosen ones can handle iPhone with no case.

The strange thing was the checkout of Hong Kong was nearly 10 hours before it finally showed in Taiwan i suppose in the chaos they rerouted, and to there and hunkered down and the scan came much later? Obviously speculation only...

I think that's about the only thing that makes sense, really. As long as it shows up on Friday I guess I don't care but it would be good to know what happened since it's so nonsensical. I really hope they show on Friday. If I wake up in the morning and it's still sitting in Taiwan I am going to be really bummed.

For what it's worth (nothing), this thread is going to be way bigger than last year's 6s launch for apple orders. it only hit 255 pages in total. I see that as a pretty good sign of sales for Apple...which the media is reporting is the case. No agenda here, just found it interesting.
