I was 9/26-10/3 group... I called the day after to get expedited shipping.
My card was charged and im preparing for shipping now.. 9/23-9/27 was my new delivery dates after I called to get 2-3 days shipping.. Now my new dates are 9/21-9/27 delivery dates. Keep the faith. Yours should see some movement soon possibly today.
OK computer flightaware peeps.... what's the last plane out of Louisville to Ontario, California EARLY tomorrow (i.e. after midnight today)
seems to me that even if our phones get on a plane between 3 and 4 eastern time they can get here tomorrow... even if UPS has to delay a plane that is supposed to eave for Ontario at 2 a.m. just to take care of probably one of their largest customers?

Makes sense. Thanks!I wouldn't worry about it as long as your pickup date still says 9/16. Pick up in store follows a different procedure than shipping directly to customers. I wouldn't be surprised if your phone is already sitting at your local Apple Store. The next status that we should see is "Ready for Pickup". I expect to see our status updated tomorrow morning, letting us know that we can come pick it up. They can't update to that status now since we can't pick them up until tomorrow.
I'm assuming that each store had a set amount of devices being sent to them. When we preordered and picked a store it set aside one of those for us. They eventually dropped that option once all of the units set aside for store pickup were spoken for. Each store will get its shipment and then somebody will have to go through their list of preorders and match up each phone with the preorder.
The reason we won't see any status changes, shipping information, or our device listed in our support profile until the last minute is because our phones aren't associated with us until after they reach the store as one big order and are sorted. Like I said, I'm mostly assuming along with certain things that I know from past experience, but this sounds right to me.

FWIW, I spoke to my UPS guy about the frenzy of iPhone delivery day a few years ago and he said that (at that time) they were under orders to try to deliver as many iPhones by 10:30 am as possible, since that was part of their service level agreement with Apple. Any that didn't get delivered by 10:30 would then be delivered as normal, wherever they happened to fall on the driver's route. I don't know if that has changed since then (this was probably 2012 when I spoke to him), but that was the deal at one point.Lol! Well I hate to be a downer, but I don't think it'll get there before 10:30 AM, even if it's a business.
I'm not sure what service level Worldwide Express Saver is classified as, but I don't think UPS treats it as a Next Day Air (most likely they'll treat it is a ground service level package) which means it could be delivered around 2-3 PM, even though it's being delivered to a business.
But, I could be wrong! We'll know soon enough tomorrow!
