It will take at least a couple of hours to unload the plane and then a few more hours to arrive in CA (where I'm at). So I doubt it will arrive on Friday.

I think it will for most unless you live hours away from the hubs. For example, the 3:43 out of KY is plenty of time to load, and it arrives in CA at 4:50 (time change, yay) with plenty of time to load onto a truck. Last year my phone left KY even later than that and made it.

Also, UPS is showing delivery info unavailable for my non-Apple shipment arriving tomorrow too. I think their system is just wonky right now.

Maybe i'm just a worrier, but should I be worried with the whole "delivery info unavailable" even though my phone got to Orlando, an hour away, at 5 pm but hasn't moved since?

I have the same time dates as you. AT&T, 7+, Matt Black, 256GB. Got my order in at 3:15 AM EST on the 9th. I don't know what phone you ordered, but mine went to Prep. For Ship on the 15th in the afternoon at some point. And I see the pending charge on my CC. I'm hoping we get Monday/Tuesday deliveries.

UPS told me on the phone their system isn't showing delivery info for anyone

Was trying to get some info about my order since a lot of people with the same time of confirmation and same dates (9/26-10/4) are getting their status changed to even "shipped".

EDIT: gave up after 16 minutes of loud music. Disappointed.
 
In all the pre-orders I have done, I have always had my phone delivered on release day when promised. If your phone is in the country you live in already, you will for sure get it today regardless of what the system might be saying right now. Seems like a lot of people are stressing out so just offering some reassurance.

Mine was held up bc of the typhoon though, it is super behind schedule. I am still optimistic though because I live near the hub. My only hope of getting it Friday is taxing out to the runway right now so hoping I get a departure scan in a few lol

Edited to add: Anddd they just delayed it. Awesome. the weather is crap in the midwest right now.

I had that happen before. Kept waiting for the shipping from China to show up but when I finally got the notice it was in Kentucky already. Don't know if that has happened in this situation or not, I think that happened with my iPhone 4.

They just delayed the one to Oakland, do you see that mess of a storm? ugh.
