iPhone 7/7+ Apple.com Pre-Order Thread

But there are literally no flights til Sunday night lol how does it get here for Saturday..
Question for all of you who have gone thru upgrades -- usually my old phone is traded in but it was paid early (6sPLus):
Anyway to my question. I have learned I have to do updating to 10.0.0.1 first then erase and then update from my archived backup. I am wondering about my trusty 6SPlus which is paid for and all.. I am thinking of leaving it functioning til my new phone is done with all that given the hammering of Apple servers and such. I expect some time involved in this process. Will that cause problems with my AT&T account? Should I take my old phone off the phone line, or what. I wanted to have a phone around til process was done and such but if there is a conflict then maybe I need to do all the stuff (remove it from find my phone, take off security and delete) I also was thinking if I cannot sell for enough of keeping it aound like a fancy ipod/mini ipad so in away do not want to delete wha tis on it but just use it WIFI and turn off the phone on airplane mode perhaps. So sorry it this is confusing -- any problems with what I am going to do with old phone while waiting for the update, restore and such of my new one? Usually my old phone is long gone but thru various things I t got paid early and is mine to deal with LOL I also have to at some point unpair my apple 1 watch so that the info is stored in my iphone backup I just read as well wow lots of work....

Hopefully they go the extra mile and create one lol! Unless they are trucking them to the west coast.
I ordered my black (not jet black) iPhone 7 plus right when the pre-orders opened up at Apple. My card was charged yesterday and the status was updated to what you see below. Hasn't changed since - patiently waiting...

UPS surprised me and came at 11AM! Usually they come after 4 pm. I was filling up my refrigerator with water bottles and heard the UPS horn honk. I ran so fast to the door Setting it up now! It's been a fun wait!!

Well if they subcontracted with USPS to fly their packages, guess who flys all of USPS packages? FedEx...UPS wouldn't do that.

You don't need to... it'll restore from the 6's backup without a problem

From what Ive gathered on here if you update your 6 it'll go to 10.01 and with your new 7 you'll have to update and then restore again to set it up through your back up.
But if you just set it up from your 6 back up on an older IOS it will be a lot easier.
Got mine at the UPS CC this morning at 9 am. It's been restoring the whole morning. Will probably take another few hours! Then I will pop my sim in.
Any flight trackers help me locate my flight? last scan was departure at 7:31pm from Chep Lap Kok HK, just trying to see where it may be headed and figure out when my phone will be stateside.
There are other options, commercial liners or private companies that places like Amazon use sometimes. I just spoke to CS who says the phone will get to the west coast today so, without any scheduled flights for UPS there has to be something happening behind the scenes or everyone is full of crap at UPS lol
