iPhone 7/7+ Apple.com Pre-Order Thread

I'm so sorry - I'm worried b/c my phone says destination scan and NOT out for delivery yet. What's sad is that flight from Louisville was just over an hour. They certainly could have gotten out here yesterday. I will feel better once I see Out For Delivery. The fact that my UPS dude was surprised they had promised a Saturday delivery makes concerned about if/when I will get my phone. It still hasn't shown up in My UPS app yet - I'm still tracking it using the tracking number I got by using the reference tracking. I'm not sure why it hasn't shown up as coming to me yet.

Good luck!! I will try to call the local UPS hub if it doesn't switch to Out for Delivery in the next 30 minutes. It literally just got the destination scan 20 minutes ago.

Well looks like UPS dude was right they will NOT delivery to my house today. It had just updated with a Saturday delivery and 5 mins ago I got a text from UPS saying Saturday Delivery service isn't offered for my location (I'm an hour outside of Richmond). Thank goodness he gave me the number to the UPS holding center - I just called them and he said yes I could come pick it up - he had my package. So i will head out a little earlier for my meeting so I can drive 45 mins out of my way to get the phone instead of waiting until Monday - argh!!!

Thanks - I just called and looks like I will be driving to the UPS hub - at least they are letting me pick it up. My UPS driver gave me their number because he was doubtful they would do a Saturday service out here and he was right. It sucks that I have to drive out of my way to pick it up but at least I was headed to Richmond for a meeting today anyway. Glad I woke up early....argh...

For everyone still waiting for their phones, I'm sorry. I hope you get them soon. That said, know that it's worth the wait. It's a fantastic phone. The home button is great. Some won't like it at first, but I did. The whole phone is so solid and so fast, it's amazing. My S7 edge feels a like a snail in comparison. I did get bitten by the headphone jack last night. I went to pick up my niece from the football game. Normally I have my S7 and use my iPod touch for music. Borrowing my sister's car, she has an aux jack for music. I went to plug it in to my iPhone 7 and actually started laughing. Not a big deal but there you go. I got to listen to 30 minutes of FM radio for the first time in years.

i have a feeling everyone's delivery dates are going to get bumped up. If mine bumped up almost 10 days theres probably a good chance the early October folks are going to get it within the next week.

i got the 6+ when it came out and i honestly can say i can't go back! i love the amount of screen you get - that was the main thing for me because i'm a food photographer/blogger so i like looking at photos on a bigger screen and i'm on social media a lot so having the amount of screen is super nice for instagram/snapchat/etc.

Thanks for the info! I also got the 6+ when it came out but I don't think I was ready, going from a 5 to the 6+. I've been thinking about going for it again. Cool job by the way!

Got the reply this morning that there's nothing they can do, that it won't be here until Monday. I just replied and asked them if I could drive somewhere to pick it up before then. Probably not, but it can't hurt to ask. Just annoyed and frustrated by the way this whole thing played out.

I know, in a week it'll be a moot point, but damn. I'm impatient.

That if they deliver on Monday. I don't think UPS has a clue. I've called last night, today, and I've emailed. I've received three different answers. "It'll deliver on Saturday", "it might deliver on Monday", and "open an investigation if there's no movement by noon Saturday".

Update: now @UPSHelp says it was scanned again this morning at Dallas and to keep an eye on tracking

It made to Atlanta airport this morning is headed to the regional distribution center where I pick it up at 9am Monday.

Woot! 256gb black 7+ ordered 9/9 @ 2:25 am CT. My original delivery date was 9/27-9/29 but I just woke up to a shipping notification. Delivery moved up to 9/22!

So how do you track when it's in "preparing for shipment"?

You can't . There is no tracking number yet, no label created. What I did is waited till got the text message from the Apple store online that my order had shipped then I had the tracking number . From processing item to PFS, there is no paper trail or electronic blue print to follow.

I ordered on last Sunday and my delivery date is so late (oct 5-11) and its STILL in "processing" mode. What the hell Apple?

Mine spent a week in processing and delivery was in September. So patients ....
