I ended up chatting with Apple yesterday because I paid the extra $10 for 2-3 day business shipping and it "shipped" yesterday and Apple says I won't get it until Thursday which is not 2-3 business days. They used the same worldwide saver shipping method they always use. The guy I was chatting with at Apple tried to tell me that "Counting Monday, 3 business days would be on Thursday." I told him no it would not, it would be Wednesday, check your math. They refunded me the $10 shipping.

I am glad that they refunded you the $10 dollars. I am hoping I get my phone Wednesday as I am leaving for long weekend trip to Western/Southwestern Virginia Wednesday night/early Thursday morning. I would like to use the camera to take some awesome mountain pictures. lol

Conversely, did you get the email from AU apologizing about the lack of stock? There will also apparently be some sort of gift as a form of compensation? Admittedly, my Japanese isn't swift enough to glean what kind of gift we'll be getting...

If mine really is delivered tomorrow (still in Korea) then it would be three days since it shipped. However, I would expect some different kind of shipping service if I'm paying for it. Not the same service as the people who didn't pay $10 extra.

Don't get too excited this early in the day -- I was a launch day delivery, with "out for delivery" update at 8:18AM and the UPS truck didn't show up at my house until 7:48PM. I live in a large suburb just outside of Tampa, so it was not like I am way out in the boonies!

Mine too! Which is awesome, except for the fact that I asked them to hold it at the CC!!

I usually never have this much trouble with UPS, they are really dropping the ball on this one.

No, since I ordered from Apple.

Indeed I wonder what kind of gift. Points? Though, that could be useful if you can apply it to the cost of the phone, or if you have one of their cards to spend the points. Perhaps more likely, though, a few months free on one of their (to me) useless value-added services.

Argh! How frustrating! sorry they did that to you. They're really struggling this time around. This launch is nothing like any of the others I've participated in, which is for every launch since the 3GS (except for the 4--I waited in line at an Apple Store to pick up a reserved device because Apple effed up that time and their servers would only allow "reservations" for much of the preorder). Hopefully they'll get their sh*t together before next year!

I can confirm my phone was shipped from China it was Worldwide Express Saver. Two years ago when my 6+ was already in the US it was shipped Next Day Air.....If your phone isn't in the US I don't know that you have a choice to speed it up from China or that's my impression. Each time I called UPS I had to speak to their International Line b/c the package shipped from China.

Agreed - UPS is usually great and the previous launches have gone well. This is the first day my Apple product didn't arrive on Launch Day.....

Last night my CC was charged and order status changed to "Preparing Shipment". How much time until it actually ships? My original delivery date was October 19-November 1. iPhone 7 Plus Jet Black 128gb.
 
UPS 99 leaving Inchenon any minute. My phone should be on that flight. If UPS and Apple follow through it should be here tomorrow. It now says Wednesday which means, if it is on this flight, they are not using the fastest method in stateside, because UPS 99 will be in Louisville tonight for sorting. This, this of course, is assuming they actually pick my phone up for the flight that has been in Inchenon for two and half hours. I guess I'll know soon enough.

Mine changed to Preparing for Shipment midday 9/15. I received my shipping notification at 7am on 9/18. Apple says it will be delivered on 9/22. UPS says 9/20. It is currently sitting in ZhengZhou, CN.
 
My JB 7+ Tmo 256 has been in PFS since last Thursday. Nothing on support profile and UPS. What's going on?
