Your phone should be getting marked as "shipped" pretty soon now that it's Wednesday.

Last week, in the late Thursday afternoon I went into PFS, and my phone was shipped Sunday.

I think it's taking about 4-5 days after it's been shipped to get to people.

I need some advice on what I should do with this extra phone I have:

I had ordered an iPhone 7 Plus on the 9th trying to do an AT&T Next Plan upgrade, but since AT&T was down it wouldn't let me. So I went ahead and bought full price hoping I could switch plans after I got it.

So day that I'm supposed to get it, I just called AT&T/Apple to ask if I could indeed switch plans and they said I couldn't. I would have to return this phone to Apple Store and place another order (and wait 1-2 months for a new one). I was bummed beyond belief!

I happened to just jump on Apple.com to see if I could place an order, and I was actually able to get an in-store pickup for an iPhone 7 Plus for today. I just picked it up and activated it.

Now I have this other phone coming via UPS. I paid for it full price with AT&T already. So I was wondering do I have to return it to the Apple Store, or can I sell it to my friend instead since they really want one but theirs doesn't ship until Nov? Didn't know the rules around having to activate it once you buy it from your account.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Haha I'm so frustrated! Did something similar happen to you? I just contacted them on twitter and they are getting hammered. The person told me that their system makes planned movement scans and actual location scans. My phone was never in South Korea. I don't work for UPS but that doesn't make sense.

I would term this whole buying process as "tormenting". First Apple screwed up when I tried to enroll in the upgrade program and I couldnt. In the process, I wasted time and the phones had slipped to a delivery of 9/23, not to mention apple's website didn't load for the first 9-10 mins.

I finally decided to pay in full and got a delivery estimate of 4/10-10/10. Later, I thought ill queue up on 16th to get one and cancel this order, but Apple proudly announced that they are out of stock for walk ins on launch day.

Friday, I finally had a happy moment when I saw charges on my card and the status changed to "Preparing for shipment" eventually shipping on Monday. I was excited to see that I will have the phone on Wednesday, as per UPS tracking.

But UPS showed up like "Not so soon, my dear".

I am right now super mad at UPS. I called them earlier today only to be juggled across 7 different reps for 40 mins, getting the standard BS response. I am sick of it.

I have reached a point of saturation. This is a criminal waste of time and effort for just a phone.
My blood boils when I get reminded that I am paying money to go thro all this ! Have no more words to describe!

UPS is just doing their thing. Packages miss scans all the time and people still get their things delivered. The Apple fanbase puts the UPS logistics system under a microscope. Have faith that your items will be delivered. Out of the millions and millions of phones being delivered only a few will have issues. If yours happens to be one of those, Apple and UPS will make it right.

My phone is supposed to be delivered tomorrow but still hasnt seemed to move from ZhengZhou china. No chance at a delivery I'm assuming unless as some have said, maybe they never scanned for the departure. Anyone else have their phone say scheduled delivery for tomorrow but still stuck in china?

I'm in the same situation. 128GB 7+ Matte Black Verizon from the Apple Store. Dates were 10/4-10/10. I was charged and it went into preparing for shipment early Saturday and has been sitting there ever since. WTF? I hope it changes tomorrow. How can it possibly take 5 days to go from preparing to actually shipped? Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled to get it early, but this preparing for shipment might be worse than processing...

Plus UPS and Apple have a very strong relationship and agreement, legally binding. UPS suck at helping, but that's cause they are legal binded to a contract and probably cannot say more than what they do now.

For what it's worth I have a 256 Gb black 7+ Sprint that went to preparing to ship on Saturday and was initially scheduled tomorrow and delayed to Friday today.

My tracking shows departed ZhengZhou and again arrived at the same location. No changes to the order after having arrived at the location it just left.

Why would it depart ZhengZhou and later arrive again?

I just had another 256 Gb 7+ Rose gold come in today and it's tracking was much simpler and had none of this nonsense.

Called UPS and spoke to their iPhone tracking department and I could hear the lady's confusion however she said as long as there is a scan on it each day they consider the shipment to be fine and nothing they can do until it reaches the US.

I have same issue . Called UPS international and was told package was held up in customs . Called apple they didn't have any idea what was delaying phone. Another mac rumor member said Samsung has shipped millions of replacements of their fire starter phones out and it's taxing shipping system . Apple said their shipping date of 9-26 will be date phone arrives not UPS date of 9-22 which is 9-23 now. Good luck on receiving your phone I know how you feel.
