I've just spoken with EE, ordered 8:10am on Friday - 256gb black plus and been told it could be up to 28 days away and unlikely to be on Friday

I struggle to understand how a company which should have been able to prepare itself for something like this kind of work load every year at least once or twice a year to check for any logistical issues, it's a bit of a mess really.

To be fair, I reckon most of their CS team are just talking bull. I've spoken to a few over the past week and I've got a different answer from all. Take all info re: deliveries with a pinch of salt I say!

I ordered a 128gb 7+ matte at 8:14am on Friday and I'm still hopeful for a friday delivery.

I've had three emails which all state that if there is a delay in my delivery, I will be notified either by call or email. I haven't been notified there for I'm expecting no delay. When I ordered at 8:14am, the website stated delivery within 7 days. That would make it Friday :).

Here's to everythign well and truly crossed!

I haven't been charged for the upfront cost yet, which makes me think that due to their 'high demands' they haven't processed it yet.

I ordered when delivery was within 7 days, it's no saying within 28 so lord knows when it may turn up.

Ah well.

The upfront cost has been taken out of my account the weekend just gone. We'll just have to see I guess :(

I'm surprised they still haven't taken the upfront cost. They took mine on the day and I called then on Friday afternoon

My logic is that if they have taken the money it's for an actual item and that it will be delivered this Friday (launch) they don't charge for something that there not going to ship for another 21 days

Yeah this is my way of thinking too. They won't be charging for something that they don't intend to send just yet.

I did order late, but it's annoying when at the time of order (and even the day after) it was delivered in 7 days. Not anymore though!

It's just ridiculous that this happens every year.

It's simple. Sell as many phones as Apple say they will deliver to you. This is not shrouded in mystery. Apple will tell EE precisely what stock they're getting and when it will arrive by.

But instead we have a race to the bottom. Every carrier lies about their stock levels because it doesn't pay to be honest. If EE held their hands up and said, at 08:05, "we've ran out of launch day stock", Vodafone/O2/whoever would just carry on lying and end up stealing thousands of customers.

It's just a mess and we know Apple has a stranglehold on carriers, and I wish they'd squeeze a little harder and get them in line.

Just got off the phone to EE.

They're just waiting on DPD to pick my phone up and deliver it to me. They also told me that the upfront cost is taken regardless of whether an item has been assigned to you.

I ordered black 128gb plus on Friday. They're confident about shipments by the sound of it.

What time did you order?

Just off the phone with EE- CS guy transferred call to upgrades to get answers:

I ordered on Friday evening, money taken on Saturday: iPhone 7+ matte black, 128gb
Told me they have lots of iPhone 7 units, 7+ is very supply constrained; order status on their system is order placed

Apparently I should expect to wait between 2-3 weeks for delivery WTF?!!!!!

As for the Apple Watch add to plan option- this can only be done while placing the actual order. I tried asking them to add it thereafter but no luck.

I order on the 9th a 7 Plus 128gb Gold, Paid £99 + 6.99 delivery,
I called today to ask to change the colour to Jet Black and was told no problem,
And we will waive the £99 upfront cost, I told him i had already paid that and it has come off my bill today,
He said not to worry we will refund you £99, :D
