Very Very Limited stock on Friday for iPhone 7 in store. :
So I know in the NYC area I've been hearing only around 3-4 phones each store will get. So if you want to get one make sure your in line very early I've been hearing its beyond limited. If I were you guys i would just do a pre-order and get ahead of everyone placing orders in store on Friday.

BTW the word is that Tmobile had the second most pre-orders behind VZW and the total amount of iphones that will be at least 10 million, almost a guarantee to be more and break last years 10 million opening weekend.

Sounds like apple made a bad call on not announcing there opening week sale numbers

There was a glitch in the system from all the preorders, that is why everyone received a text about trading your phone in so that people that was going to trade in could call in today. On phone with them now.

I dont know how many times it's been said in this thread....Most people wont get shipping updates until tomorrow or not even one. The volume that the 7+ black that is coming in is insane. Like most other companies, TMO uses SAP for logistics, supply chain etc and uses shipping interval times based on actual inventory. Anything more than "on hand inventory" is listed as back order given a generic ship date place holder. No single carrier had any 7+ in black with a 9/16 delivery date. From what I'm being told is the Apple has told carriers that from late Monday thru Thursday they are shipping as much as they can around the clock. They literally have shipping trucks lining up at the Foxconn factories and getting expedited custom approvals to move as much volume as they can. Each plane holds about 200-300k iphones. Plus SKUs are now shipping at 4:1 ratio. Meaning for every one ip7, there are 4 plus models shipping.

If you have dates that are showing anytime in the next three weeks, they are very inaccurate and generic. The only SKU that is proably going to have low yields and longer times is the Jet Black due to the build process and quality checking.

I have nothing to gain and nothing to lose, this is just information that I've gotten from someone that even though doesnt work for TMO, knows exactly how the process works for every carrier being that he is in supply chain management for VZW, even though he specializes in reverse logistics.

Do you read John Legere's twitter post lol they don't have any they are going to be delayed by 4 weeks ;p

Man this is BS. Yeah I know it's just a phone. My situation is that when preorders went live JOD wasn't working so to hurry and get my order in I switched to Jump 2.0 because i had just left the Note 7 and bought a LG V10 and was still in the return window until this Friday. Now if the phone doesn't come I'm going to have to go to Bestbuy and buy a cheap phone so I can return the LG V10 before it's too late. Ughhhhhhh.

It's funny how most of you are probably full time working professional adults, and I'm just a 19 year old college student who saves enough money each year to buy an iPhone 7+ at full price lol

I'm a 22 y/o uni student, I don't buy new phones every year. I usually only buy the iPhone the year that it has a new redesign. This year is the only exception since I really like the dual cameras and the matte black color.

Thinking about logistics on this level, you know they always had trouble with space gray orders in the past. Why would they hold off supply initially on the black models? I would think I would prioritize them first over the lesser sold colors. Now if anyone is to get the 7+ black versions it would be a mad dash at the last minute. Logistically you don't save the most sold for last you have them moving first, so as to be ahead of any unforeseen issues.

She just said anyone that has a 9.19-9.26 was pushed back to 9.26-10.10 now. That is a worse case scenario date and they will no more Friday when the first wave of phones ship but that is what my 2 ip7+32gb Matte black is now. FML

I'm already planning to go to the stores Friday morning and getting a different color Plus. It's going to be in a case anyways so why stress over a color. As long as I get my model and storage space.

Not doubting you, but idk how they weren't prepared, every time apple talk about the new Iphone, black/jet black was mentioned. Even used those colors on banners etc. idk what they expected

Edit: ATT beat VZW and TMO. TMO had more pre-orders than VZW. VZW had a marginal increase year over year compared to to TMO and ATT
