they likely will do some naming scheme change rather sooner than later. just like they call their mac os "el capitan", "Sierra" etc...

just sold an iPhone 5 on eBay for 215$. did not think i would get that much

You probably wont get that much but what you will get is the run around, the buyer claiming the phone is carrier locked, icloud locked, not as described and countless other scams they could pull on you.
Get ready to play the ebay scammers game and go through hell.

Sounds like apple might have dropped the ball on this release.. I hope i'm wrong. I wonder if they weren't expecting as many people to order them lol. Guess we won't really know until tomorrow, i'm still hoping for an early next week shipment!
What if they use a roman numeral when they get so high it would look odd in packing and advertisement to go fromVIII to IX to X to XI to XII... XIII... XIV the numbers are more distinct to me

They've already used X's in the chip numbering system, though. Could be the reason for the continuation.
A Tmobile phone rep just told me that they dont have any iphone 7 phone in stock neither regular 7 or 7 plus and all orders will begin shipping out after September 27. Because Apple has delayed shipment to them.
Not sure if I believe it or if that's what they're estimating.

Just called T-Mobile, IPhone 7 matte black 128g getting shipped out tonight or tomorrow morning, arriving between 16th-19th September

My device is "ready to ship" according to the T-Mobile rep. Card charged a few hours ago. 7 Jet Black 128

Hope not either but if the price they pay is high or higher than average then it's a good indication its a scammer.
If I plan on scamming you and not really end up paying for the item then I'll buy it for $800. It doesn't really matter...
