Carrier iPhone 7/7+ T-Mobile Pre-Order Thread

You will return your phone in the shipping box your iPhone 7 came in. So when you get the black/pink box, make sure you save it! I just threw my 6+ in that box and sent it back.

You will print your shipping label from your T Mobile online account.

You will send back your 6 AFTER receiving your 7. No interruption in your service!

I ordered via a live customer care call on launch to avoid mistakes but that managed one anyway. They said there is no way to convert it to JOD.

I found out when I went to the store to turn in my old phone.

Are you doing a JOD, or the Iphone 7 promotion? if your doing a JOD you take it to the T-Mobile store. if your doing the trade in promotion follow the http://www.t-mobile.com/offer/apple-iphone-deals.html trade in instructions here.

you trade it once you get your new device then you have 14 days to trade it in. unless your doing JOD.

JOD then take it to the T-Mobile store. they have to "inspect it" and close out your lease for the old device

Tweeted I don't understand why people are getting their phones when they ordered after me & with later estimated dates than me. T-Mobile help asked me to DM them cuz they "want me rocking that new awesome iPhone."

Different guy responded. Said he knows it hard to wait. And he just ordered his so he has to wait until December. And I'm getting mine sooner cuz I ordered the pre order. I was like WOW THANKS SO MUCH FOR WASTING MY TIME. Quit with the regular T-Mobile reps. They. Don't. Know. Anything. And we're all getting different, mostly generic answers. Rawr. *finishes coffee* Slept in today cuz I got sick. Was hoping for at least a charge. Lol.

if you click the link and click on locations. it will tell you where you can return it. Most T-mobile reps don't know there jobs. I go by whats in black and white. The own T-mo documents. they can't argue with there own policies.

Thanks! i know where i am from it is owned by Wireless Vision but on the tmobile website it is showing that it is a tmobile store! once i get my phone i will return it at a store and print out the map and rules. to justify that it is indeed allowed to trade at a tmobile store

Guys, if I was charged yesterday, with no tracking as of yet. And my ups choice shows me nothing. What day can I expect the phone, its important because I have to commute from San Francisco to San Jose, I don't want to choose the wrong day to not go back.
 
All those trade in links are confusing. Every time I've jumped my iPhone (don't have JOD) the return package for the trade in device and the return shipping label have always always always been in the new device package along with the new phone & new phone box. You just slip it in the return package stick the label on and leave it in ur mail box. Super easy. Don't forget to add your existing SIM card to the new device.

Did the same thing when I did an insurance return when I cracked my 6S screen. Had to pay $175 flat for that. Insurance is included when you have Jump. Also you get a free security app premium edition called Lookout. Backs up all your photos as well. Neat.

Also called local tmobile store about dropping off the trade ins (iphone 6 phones) to the local store instead of shipping them... they said no, we will have to ship them.

Received my 128gb jet black plus yesterday at 10:00am. Was charged the day before at 4:00pm. Ordered 9/9 at 3:09 EST. Delivery window 9/19-9/26.

yup. cover your ass. Always force the store. My wife had a defective phone once. It was on except wouldn't boot up. between the store and the warehouse the screen got cracked. tried to charge me 400 bucks. i said @$%#@%#@$%#$% that. The store manager looked at it before it shipped. saved me 400 bucks :) made the manager document it on the account before it shipped and had them watch me package it as well. :)
