Should I even expect a cc charge since I'm JoD, and it was no cost? I wouldn't think so...
I'd like to learn how you other JoD people got by with no charges because I even got a call from the tmo president's office confirming that the charges associated with my JoD upgrades were correct. They gave me a massive bill credit for all the chaos that was involved in my attempts to upgrade but my credit card was still charged.

No, if it's the 32GB model you shouldn't see anything. Maybe a $1 authorization, but probably not even that.
I JoD'd four (I think, now everything is getting blurry) lines to 32g models and got wacked for almost $60 each, plus the 200 for the + and 150 for an upgrade from a 64 to a 128.

It seems policies, charges, and level of customer service very wildly depending on the person you speak to. In the past I've had a much better experience with Facebook/Twitter messaging T-Mobile than calling them.

That's bizarre. I'm not sure what they're charging you for.

I ordered at 7am, central time. The rep initially told me it was $20, but her manager had to complete order, and then said there was not a charge. I didn't do any extra complaining, etc. I received lease agreement right away. Order has been on my T-Mobile page since Friday, but still in processing phase.

Tell me about it, the salescritter in the store was very explicit about there being no further upgrade charges with JoD when I signed up last year, now I've got about $600 for jumping six lines. I'll be yelling at the store people when I take my 6s' in after my 7s get delivered.

Still in the "being processed" stage :( I ordered the 32GB matte black 7. Seems like a good majority of people who ordered the same specs have gotten their shipping notices already.

I'm still on the 4 lines unlimited for $150 promo. The value I get for service can't be beat. I think I have to be done with them as far as obtaining equipment. My line has 6s+ on the JOD promo from last year. I have an extra line with a 5S that I'm trading in for iPhone 7+ Black 128GB. I ended up burning about 24 hours on account of them. This is how:

9/9 5:30AM place order for ip 7+ 128 GB black via 611

9/9 5:00PM still no EIP email, so I call in and the rep had one letter wrong in my email address. That's especially ridiculous because it's the same email address associated with my account. She fixes that and sends the email again. I then see that I was put in for a regular 7 rather than plus. She has to cancel my original order and make a new one. She waits on the phone with me to confirm EIP email. After 10 minutes it doesn't show up. She says she will do a call back in an hour. That call never happens.

9/10 4:45AM EIP emails show up. Correct phone listed. Doc signed.

9/10 6:55 AM "copy of your EIP agreement" email

9/10 8:05AM "thank you for your order" email

I'm hoping it's not that big of a delay since the "copy of EIP" email shows my order far as 9/9 4:59PM EST

iPhone 7+ 128GB Black
EIP
Est ship: 9/27 - 10/10
No charges. $1 pending on Discover.

I feel your pain. This sounds like my story from last year...it seems that nothing has changed. I had to spend hours and hours last year trying to straighten out repeated mistakes by these customer service reps and I also spent hours and hours on hold. (No exaggeration.)

If John Legere is really interested in removing pain points from wireless, all he has to do is revamp this ordering process because it sucks. I don't understand why they can't automate this process with online ordering. When you think about it, it is really not that hard.

Don't know if this means anything, but when I log into my T Mobile home page, where it goes over your lines and has pictures of your devices. Before it showed my old devices, but now the two lines i did the phone upgrade to, are no longer showing my old phones, it's just a blank photo with a question mark. Other lines remain the same with the pictures for the phones.

Well this just popped up Idk but this makes me excited lol I hope it means what I think it does

Seems like the screen I was seeing. Did you sign your EIP? I didn't realize the first time around that I hadn't actually completed it and after 48 hrs your reservation is canceled if you don't sign and complete the EIP form. However, if you do complete it you should see that your reservation is in there almost immediately.

Thanks for your other posts.

Can you explain how this will work if I want to roll off trade-in credit to EIP balance? Elaborate 2nd part of your post pls.

I have two orders.

1. Iphone 7-32GB with EIP of $650 which is $27.09 per month for 24 months. I traded in Iphone6-16GB which is $165 value for this order. So If I roll in $165 to EIP after trade-in, EIP balance will be reduced to $485. Since EIP is fixed at $27.09, TMobile will bill $27.09 to my monthly bill.

how much credit TMobile will apply to this EIP to make net cost of this order $0? As per offer, my net cost after iphone6 trade-in should be $0.

2. Iphone 7 plus-32GB with EIP of $769.99 which is $32.09 per month for 24 months.I traded in Iphone6 plus-16GB which is $195 for this order. So If I roll in $195 to EIP after trade-in, EIP balance will be reduced to $574.99. Since EIP is fixed at $32.09, TMobile will bill $32.09 to my monthly bill. The difference in this order as per offer is that my net cost should be $120 after iphone6 plus trade-in.

how much credit TMobile will apply to this EIP to make net cost of this order $120?

TIA!

Isn't it funny how T-Mobile started the Uncarrier revolution to make things simpler, but now we're left with this? There's nothing simple about this and it is full of smoke and mirrors!

I suggest just sticking with JOD and getting the new iPhone that way. But, you can also pay off your lease like you said and sell the 6s online. Buy an iPhone 6 and trade that in instead. This way you get the same credits but you don't lose as much. Let's say 6s+ 128gb sells for $650... you can buy an iPhone 6 that meets the trade-in criteria for about $300. You now have $350 you can put towards your new iPhone 7 upgrade. This is as opposed to simply trading your paid off iPhone 6S+ 128GB in.

Also, typing this on the mobile MacRumors site was f*cking terrible. The page kept going down.

I know how difficult it it to type on the mobile version, so I really appreciate your time and thoughts!

I just realized that I have an old iPhone 5s laying around! I'm going to trade that in instead to basically receive $400 in credits (spread out over 24 months) and then I'm going to pay-off my existing 6s Plus lease and sell that 6s Plus on my own. Thank you because you just gave me that idea!

I've thoroughly ran the math and by going this route, it will only cost me less than $50 out of pocket to upgrade to a new iPhone 7 Plus 128 GB, assuming that I keep it for 24 months. I'm so ready to pull the trigger on this, but man, I'm just concerned about the part of having to keep it for 24 months to receive the entire credit...

I believe the reservation is cancelled after 24hrs.

Thats crazy! I literally called TMO and talked to someone cuz thats what I was seeing. PS I re-ordered yesterday (Sunday) and it showed up in my "orders" section right away... maybe its stalled due to the trade in?
