you don't trade it in until you get the new phone from what I was told

Thinking about doing the same thing, just want to make sure with Verizon that it won't affect my trade-in, can't imagine why it would though. Anyone know for sure?
Just called and cancelled my 7+ silver 128 as the date showed 12/9 and I saw the 256 have sooner ship dates. The rep tells me that he can cancel it for me but due to my upgrading it would take 24-26 hrs and he will call me to reorder a new phone. He also mentions that by that time, its very possible for the dates to be pushed out (ugh). As soon as I got the cancellation email, I went back in and reordered the 256 silver with a ship date of 11/9 which is almost a month earlier. I also saw that if chose gold it would ship in 4 days but I preferred he silver and too long of a wait for the glossy black.
I was told the same on the phone with a rep. I'm just hoping it isn't something that is a pain to reprocess.
I just spoke with a Verizon rep and she told me that I would not receive the $650 trade-in credit if I bought it through Apple at this time. Wa wa... :-/
Same here, I ordered two phones on 23rd,one is exact the same as yours, one is 7 RG 128g, have a same EDD with you 11/16, no movement at all
If you are waiting for a Jet Black phone... the good news is that it might not be much longer. Checkout http://istocknow.com and filter out all colors except for Jet Blacks. For those that haven't seen this site before, this site maps out iPhone availability at Apple Stores. Up until Yesterday, there wasn't a Jet Black phone to be found in any size or any capacity at any store in the US. Today, they are everywhere. That means that production levels are growing finally. And while their availability at the Apple Store doesn't really do "Us" any good, it does indicate that stock at the carriers is hopefully starting to grow. My guess is that our wait won't be too much longer.
OH MY GOD GUYS. My 11/02 iPhone 7 Plus 128GB Matte Black just had something happen. On Verizon's site it still says processing but I just received a text from Verizon saying the order was received and tracking info will become available when it ships...! This seems like something that should happen immediately when you order it (I ordered it on 9/18) but idk. Does this mean my iPhone will ship at any moment?? Also, interestingly enough, the estimated delivery date is now gone...
I had this happen too. My iPhone 6 had a 10/25/16 contract end date but it said I was eligible for an upgrade, so I went ahead and did it.
Mine did this too. And I think it's getting ready to ship soon!!
Just curious if anyone receiving shipping notifications has a silver 7 plus? istock shows the silver to be the least available now even over JB?
I'm curious too. I suppose the reason why my 7+ MB 128 hasn't shipped out is because of my wife's 7+ silver 128gb. All ordered 9/26 with EDD 10/26.
It's happening!! iPhone 7 Plus Black 128GB (ordered 9/18 with an original EDD of 11/02) HAS JUST SHIPPED!! Courier is FedEx (Yuck... they've delivered to the wrong street name but correct house number twice before for me...) and it says shipment speed is business 2 day. Hopefully that actually means 2 day and I will have it by Monday or Tuesday. There is no estimated delivery date anymore at all which is weird.
