And so it starts, it appears that leaks from the iPhone 7 have started (unless of course they are fake) i'm surprised that Macrumours have not seen and reported this on their front page.

http://wccftech.com/iphone-7-pro-dual-camera-sensor-leaks/

It appears that the camera on the iPhone 7 will indeed be a dual camera, will this sway anyone into buying the iPhone 7? or are you hoping for a lot more?

Nice find, i did not see that one :)

Hope the 7 has a significantly different design to the 6.

Such as? i cant see what else Apple can do, the shape of the iPhone isn't going to change much, the removal of the antenna bands and the camera sitting flush in the phone are rumoured at the moment, that will change the design a little.

If that was even a good rumored leak, the casing looks plastic and me no likie that. Way too early in my opinion for good leaks

I think it's a case you buy from Apple to protect the phone, if your talking about the green case.

Such as reducing the side and top/bottom bezels.

Some further rumoured leaks, this time of the supposed iPhone Pro casing

http://www.nowhereelse.fr/iphone-7-photos-catcher-112935/

Ok, looks legit. Don' t know what we should expect otherwise.
Just one antenna line at the bottom.
And a hole for a very big camera.

Of course the 7 will resemble the 6.
But even thinner, no antenna lines, no camera bump, and i sincerely hope less bezel and less chins. If they can get 4mm of the length of the phone and 2mm width, with the same screen dimensions, it would be enough.

And a higher res display! Better contrasts and better blacks!

It's for the iPhone 7 4.7" not the Pro, that's my mistake, it does say so now that I've translated the article.
I don't think we will see a big design change this year, slimmer lighter, no headphone jack and removal of the antena lines. I don't think we will see a higher resolution display that will probably be kept for the iPhone 7S.

Not sure they will do that this year, maybe next year if they increase the display and it use OLED display.

If they don' t change the display this year Apple will hit a slippery slope.
They need to increase the display res to keep hanging in there this year.they should have updated the res with the 6s already. I am a big apple fan, but even I was tempted to get a s7.
It can never be as good as the s7 screen this year, but they at least have to come closer to it this year, until oled displays will finally reach the iPhone .

It will more likely be a 7S upgrade if Apple are indeed planning OLED for next year.

Yes, you keep going on about the s upgrade.
But why? An s upgrade would be wireless charging, waterproofing for the iPhone 7 and an oled display for the iPhone pro.

But why would that stop Apple from upping the res?
They could release the 7 with higher res displays, and use oled with the same res for the 7s release. With the inclusion of oled for the 7s, they could use smaller batteries to make room for the wireless charging and other new features hw.

Hey, they did it with the 6s..

I like my IOS device, and out of all the hardware that a competitor may throw in a new device that may tempt me to switch, I can't say the screen res is one of them. That is not to say they should increase the screen resolution, but to me that is not the straw that will break the camel's back.

iPhone 6S Plus looks dated from the front and is harder to use than galaxy s7 edge. Bezels need to shrink this year.

No, but the screen is on of the most important parts of a smartphone.
What do you find most important then?
Camera?

I don't think it looks dated at all. Of course we don't know what the iphone 7 will be sporting, so that remains to be seen.

To answer your question the overall form and function of the iphone is what I like. The sum of the parts are greater than the whole. It's a cohesive unit that works very well. The screen is not the most important part, and it's not like apple has scraped together parts from the bottom of the parts barrel.

I am sorry , but last year the display was nice for its time. This year it seems they scraped parts from the bottom.
Apple and its margins...

Okay, your opinion, I disagree. The screen is still tops.
It's a great display but not the best.

It looks dated compared to phones like s7/s7 edge which have noticeably smaller bezels around the display and are much easier to use with one hand because of it.

Okay, best to me, is subjective.

The 6s looks iconic not dated, which is something Samsung will never achieve.
