It's not a crop... that was done with the f/1.8 wide lens. I moved close to those trees so they would help dominate the frame. The app st the ISO to 1000, and I exposed for 15 minutes. The multiple stacked images got rid of the noise. Here is the original shot, which has the exit data (resized for this thread)

I'm surprised with the field of view though, I would have expected it to be much wider.
I look forward to seeing how I get on.
 
It's pretty intense how this camera brings the joy of actual artistic photography to the iPhone for me for the first time ever.
I hope they'll further improve this over time, for more flexibility and precision and maybe stuff like custom bokehs etc.
 
Picture of my son at the beach today waiting for hurricane Matt. I have a 24 MP SLR and a 70-200mm 2.8 lens, and it honestly would look no better than this.Yes......If you cropped and zoomed and pixel peeped......but otherwise.....yea

As a photog myself, I beg to differ. That image is soft compared to what a 70-200 can do, esp the 2.8.
