Oh crap I didn't think about that! Yea I think that's it!
Just wanted to say that I find this to be hilarious for some reason. I didn't even think about the reset combo changing with the new home button. I feel like this combination is more likely to be accidentally pressed.

And mine, although I fixed the tint using the accessibility settings. The brightness however is still a problem, mostly because it is supposed to be brighter so I feel like I've been short changed

Yeah the color does not so much bother me, but the brightness. Just feels like it should get brighter

Held it up to my iP6s+, was definitely a lot duller. Going to see if the "glue settling" theory will brightening it up any. If not I'll just bring both phones to Apple when they get some stock in lol.

when you guys quickly slide the display brightness back and forth does the screen seem to go pink-ish for a little?

Yeah I am going to wait it out. If not, taking both with me to Apple. I am sure they will help us out, just a bit frustrating but nothing that is that big of a deal. At least our phones aren't catching on fire

Agreed. My Apple Store is about an hour and half, but if they make it right, then really it's not that big of a deal. Crap happens with new devices.

My iPhone7 seems to have a very bright display. Just compared it to my Galaxy S7 on max brightness.
The iPhone 7 is ALOT brighter and white, while the S7 seems to be a bit yellowish next to it.

But afaik the S7 will only reach it's max brightness on "auto" setting, when it's really needed because of sunlight. So it's hard to compare. But manually cranking up both of them, the iPhone definitely wins.

Obviously the S7 wins on sharpness (resolution) and Blacklevels.

Colors look amazing on both of them.

I have to say the colors look amazing on the 7. Even if it doesn't get as bright, they look so good.

This makes me feel a bit better. Waiting on my iPhone 7 plus to be delivered today. Hoping all is fine with it! Last year I had several problems with screen defects with the 6s and had to send it back 3 different times :( hoping this one is good on the first go around!

Samen thing on mine. Also: when i slide the brightness from left to right it stops going brighter after the "middle".
Seems like software.

That's really weird. Apple says it's supposed to be 25% brighter than the old iPhone..

I got a silver ip7 today and I am having the same issue. I did a hard reset and it got brighter momentarily until it dimmed itself. I have brightness set at 100% with no auto brightness. I noticed that shortly after the hard reset, I went into settings to find something and the phone adjusted the brightness on its on.

This has to be a software issue. I remember once with the iPad Air 2 that the screen would be dim if the ios was set up in a dark setting. Whether or not that is true, I hope that isn't the case here.
