I'm assuming half of us still on the 6-8 prefer the smaller form factor and don't actually want a larger phone.

Slim eyebrow and chin-less iPhone would be a good medium.

A majority prefer bezels over notch or else we would have notched iPad, iMac, and Macbook by now.

Anything over 1080P in a iPhone screen size is just extra, unnecessary icing. We're already at Apple's Retina level of quality since the 4.

6 - 750P - 326 ppi
6+ - 1080P - 401 ppi
X - 1125P - 451 ppi

Plenty of pixel density

Unnecessary icing?? Whatever helps you sleep at night mate. From my experience theres night and day between the screens on the 8 compared to the X/XS. Not even just resolution, the AMOLED screen just produces colours the old LCD cant even dream of.

The fact that you are comparing an iMac and Macbook to a phone which has much much more limited space is just bloody ridiculous to be frank.

Night and day difference when they're already high up in the 400 ppi realm? Now we know you're just full of fluff.

Didnt even bother reading the message did you.

Clearly you have never used a X or XS.

???

You said night and day difference for resolution. Also brought in colour for some odd reason thinking it will back up your point. Seeing extra colours doesn't affect pixel resolution. /facepalm

Had an SE, just got an 8 (non-plus). This is an outstanding phone. Pocketable, nice heft, fast, good camera. This will tide me over till 2020.

Good man, smart choice, great iPhone - yes, indeed, it’ll serve you well until 2021.

You should really get an iPhone XR.
The latest design concept with affordable price.

No, he should not.

Yeah we really envy that eyebrow the size of Groucho Marx’s. And a chin to match. What were we thinking, lol?

You were thinking “I like Android so much, I’ll go and buy an iPhone that works just like Android”

... oh no, wait, Android actually managed to provide a Virtual Home Button.

Jealousy is definitely the wrong word. To be fair though I’m not jealous that my iPhone is an older model, I buy the phone I want.

exactly! me too i buy what i want and honesty i don’t like the new devices XR XS i prefer small devices and love the touch id and hate the notch so enjoying my beautiful iphone 7 such a great purchase

I put my 8+ down on the table next to a co-workers note 10+ and it’s crazy. The 8+ looks like an old children’s toy, while the note 10+ looks like the future. I’m not bothered by it, but it’s blatantly obvious these old phones are antiquated in terms of looks. Doesn’t bug me enough to change, but it’s still pretty crazy to see.

I've had my 8+ for a year and my contract is up next August. Usually I upgrade every 2 years. I'm not sure now if I'll do upgrade next week. I like my 8+; the camera is great. My niece has the XS Max and the pictures are a bit better; not enough for me to upgrade. My 8+ has 256 GB of memory runs fast, the only issue is a slight problem with the speakers. As long as that doesn't get worse I'll keep the 8+ for at least 2 more years.

I have an 8+ too and I just remind myself it’s still a very capable phone that offers the same thing newer models offer for my uses. Beyond looks I can’t justify upgrading this year. I’d rather get an Apple Watch.

Yep. Upgraded from the 6S Plus to the 8 last year and have been pretty happy with it. Don't understand the deal with the haptic button that was introduced with the 7. It's been fine.

The haptic button is the coolest.
[doublepost=1566781685][/doublepost]Do you guys think Apple will keep this form factor? I really love my iPhone 7. It is very compact, and still a pretty powerful phone.

I’m not really interested in the XS, or XR, or iPhone 11.

I am however probably going to eventually upgrade to a iPhone 8 256GB.

I am in no rush.

But, what do we do after that? The iPhone 8 is the last real iPhone with a home button. I really like the haptic home button and overall design is the best and like an original iPhone. Are they going to just dump the design for minimalistic bezels, and FaceID?

Not a fan of when the screen starts wrapping around.

Phones like the One Plus 6T and LG V40 ThinQ that have the bezels trimmed but the screen not wrapping is what I hope Apple will do.

I hate it when the screen wraps around. All the curve does is pick up glare.
[doublepost=1566995395][/doublepost]Has anyone purchased an iPhone 8 in the last month or two for Verizon or Sprint? If so, would you please tell me if you have the Intel or Qualcomm modem?
