iPhone 8 or iPad Pro 10.5'?

i have an iPhone 7 and iPad Air 2. My budget does not allows for one purchase between the iPhone 8 and the iPad Pro 10.5'? Which seems like a better option. I'm not really sure I would buy an Apple Pencil, just to clarify. Thanks.

The 10.5 Pro is an enormous leap from the iPad Air 2 (I just made that same jump myself. The difference is night and day)

The iPad Pro is near the end of its product cycle and likely to get a refresh a lot sooner than the iPhone.

Here’s how I would decide: do you plan on upgrading both devices eventually next year? If so, buy the iPhone now, and wait for the new iPad Pro. If you are only going to make one Apple purchase for the next 12-24 months, then get the iPad Pro. It’s an incredible device and will last you a very long time.

It's the holiday season, I'm sure there are a ton of folks trying to decide on what Apple gadgets to buy.

I recently bought a new iPhone 7 and it works great but compared to my 10.5 its on a different level. The 120hz makes a huge difference and apple failed to put 120hz in the new iPhones so just wait for the iPhone X2 or something.
