UPDATE TO MY LAG ISSUE

Hi All,
So I returned the iPhone 8/256 that caused me to start this thread. It was horrible and lagged with almost all inputs.
I swapped it for another (about a week ago) and the replacement is perfect. I set the replacement up exactly the same using the exact same backup. All is good and I couldn't be happier........

Now moving on to the X, would I have liked to have bought an X and the answer would be yes, I would have, but frankly I think Apple's design choices for the screen notch is quite possibly the poorest use of valuable screen real estate I've seen in smartphones to date.

Also I see Apple's quality control is still a disaster even with their "flagship" X. Same old QC issues that have plagued every iPhone and iPad....I hope those of you that bought the X enjoy it and have great luck. For me personally I'm burned out with defective technology and the lottery of risks associated with trying to find a device that doesn't suffer from any or all of the following...

Dust under camera
Hairs under camera
Yellow screens
Dim screens
Speakers not working
Sharp edges
Face ID issues...still
Screen burn in issue
https://fossbytes.com/iphone-x-might-have-screen-burn-in-problem-apple-warns/

I have now noticed this issue on my home screen when switching left to right from the main home page where all the notifications come in.

Got my iPhone X on the first day of release. I have none of the issues listed in post #51. I even went so far to use a magnifying glass with a light to see if I could find dust or anything in the camera. Nothing.

Either mine was made on a good day or by a realty good assembler.

I do have a habit of sleeping my phone when I am not using it. The only thing that I might get screen burn in from would be my Waze app as I use it daily for my 30 minute drive to work. So far I have not seen a problem.

Does this point back to the compiler Apple uses? It really sounds like more than just issues with testing, coding, and normal troubles every time there’s new iPhone and new iOS.

My 6S Plus definitely smoother on iOS 10. My Note 8 (don’t forget it has 6GB too) is silky smoothie buttery. iPad Pro is running 11.3b1 nicely but there are bugs for sure. I think it’s 4GB helps as it shows 3.4GB in use.

Hey, it’s usually the last update when everything falls together. Always. OS X and for iOS.

Should’ve gotten an X, as smooth as it gets.

Hi guys
after ios12 update my iPhone 8plus suffers random stuttering when performing home screens transition: it is sometimes more evident when waking up the phone from standby.
Even though, with the iPhone not in standby if I perform several back and forth between screens (swiping with the finger) I can reproduce a gentle / subtle stuttering. I am 100% sure that this did not occur on ios11. Anyone else observing the same please?
Thanks
Emanuele

I have a 6+ and a colleague a 7+ iOS 12 for me had a bit of lag but still usable, 12.0.1 was TERRIBLE in safari, mail, podcasts. 12.1 seems better again but not great. Colleagues 7+ is still bad he is so disappointed, for him iOS11 was much better
