:) Did you catch how he said "16 different applications"? ;)

yes! brilliant.....how can they keep making these mistakes though?!
can't help but notice we havent yet been shown the camera app either.
i hate living in the uk right now.

I am reminded of the "perfect storm" of consumer marketing that Computerworld believed Microsoft was delivering for the Zune last year--thus, supposedly, making Apple very afraid :p

http://www.computerworld.com/action/article.do?command=printArticleBasic&articleId=9003718

Now, what Apple & AT&T have gradually played up for a half a year--THAT is a perfect storm.

PS, I don't like that hand model. I prefer the tree-frog hands they use in their patents.

PPS, I really hope it can read PDFs, HTML pages, and other documents stored on the thing's internal HD. THAT would be great--I'd store tons of useful info for business and pleasure.

From 360 view its hard to say if battery will be replaceable but frankly speaking does NOT look like it. But on the top is something that could actually be a SIM tray. And thats a good news

Steve already showed us the sim tray, during the MWSF 2007 keynote I believe.

This is not a mistake- 12 apps up top, 4 apps on the bottom = 16 apps.

I'm glad you all like the video! I can't wait for the iPhone now that I've seen this!

I don't know if I'd call the 'phone' button an Application.
I interpret it that we'll have 16 apps. Period.

Had we heard anything about the headphones prior to this video? Those freakin rock! Totally eliminating the need for bluetooth for me.

The video made everything look so easy, but I noticed the time never changed on the iphone, so it could have easily been a video and not actual use.

perhaps.. i personally wouldnt call a whole ipod or phone an app though

theres going to be so many starbucks pins in maps! its going to be hard to pick the right one, i think my finger would cover a few.

Pretty extensive video. Covers alot of stuff.....good to know word/excel pdf can be viewed, shame no editing functions though.

Looks pretty impressive but i can't help but think it needs a fat data plan to enjoy all the good stuff. Im still most likely gonna wait for Rev B though.

Yes but we dont know if its gonna be "accessible". If they gonna set up online activation via iTunes so that mean iPhone has to come together with the SIM card. And the question remains...are you gonna be able to remove it??

Thumb Typing!

Did anyone else catch the thumb typing a la Blackberry? I've heard a lot of concern regarding this, was one of my own since I have been a Crackberry user for 5yrs now. Typing on this thing is going to be a dream!!

It was very clever to do the titles in between video segments using/showing ways to interact with the iPhone (ie the tap zoom in and the flick to move the title off the page).

Some observations...

The demonstrator stopped short of scrolling through all the settings, possibly to hide some undisclosed features?

Also has anyone else noticed that the square in the home button is the same shape and size of the built in isight cameras on the imac, macbook, and macbooks pros? Could there possibly be an ichat camera hidden in plain sight all this time? :)

I have been a on a roller coaster ride with this unreleased phone. When first announced, I told my wife I was going to buy one as soon as it was released. THen My desire waned when no mention of Outlook support was mentioned. But I REALLY don't require push email and since I can access my Outlook through the internet this is looking more and more like a MUST HAVE. MUST... RESIST... TILL... SECOND... GENERATIONNNNN!!!!!
