Get with the times, man. I know 4th graders who have cell phones. I'm in 8th grade and I have a razr. Everybody 6th grade and up has a cell phone.

I did not get one till high school and I never needed one? why would middle schoolers? maybe in 8th grade but why would a 4th grader!!!!!!! this is STUPID! there is almost NO resign that a 4th grader needs a cell phone!

I see your point, I didn't get a cell phone 'til I was 17, and my sister got one when she was 11. But that sounds like one of those things slightly older people say about the young'uns getting fancy new technologies before them.

"In my day, we didn't have buses to drive us to school! We had to walk 10 miles in the snow, uphill, both ways!"

:p

Wow your schools actually have wifi?

What's the need ? I could see it being used for networking a teachers machine but there's no reason for having it. Schools have computer labs, ethernet works fine for that. University is a whole other ball game though.

Our school has one iMac & eMac lab and the rest are iBooks. We can bring the iBooks from class to class and use wi-fi. It's cool

My uncle says that exact same thing. But my uncle also has a BB and is fairly knowlage able about tech stuff, not as much as me but hey.... when he saw my iPod nano he was amazed.
