Discontinued or not, my 13 Mini is a very good phone, and the best of the 4 iPhones I have owned. I am just glad I own it, and plan to keep it for at least another 2 years. I could live with the 6.1” version in the future, but I will never love it like I haved loved the 13 Mini over the last 2 years.

Lol some of the posts in here you'd think you were at a funeral. It's a phone. You'll buy a 6.1" iPhone when it's time to upgrade, don't worry about it.

edit: 6.3" unless you buy an SE or old iPhone 15/15 Pro ;)

Look at us, we've kept this amazing thread alive for 11 pages so far.... you dont think we will figure out away to keep using our minis for many more years to come? Dont doubt us. I know I plan on using it for MANY more years :)

Foldable iPads are not so far itseems. In an "Intensive development" mode. We may see a smaller iPhone similar to Moto Razr 40 flip or something unique Apple may come up with their own technologies.

Apple Vision Pro has pushed Apple the need for significant battery improvements. Apple's custom battery technology will also be added to Apple mobile devices from 2025.

I just bought a good conditioned iPhone SE 1st generation 128gb for the 3rd time (prev iPhone beyond repair).
Just posting some images from Apple Event March 2016. Launch of iPhone SE 1st generation.

Sadly I don't think we're going back to a mini form factor with Apple ever again. For me, in its day, it was the most perfect phone Apple ever made. I'm using a 15 Pro now but will likely go back to my mini in time.

No, I don’t think a new Mini comes, but the new flip and fold might come in a reasonable size for us Mini owners.

‘I have looked at other phone maker’s foldable phones and they are all showing wear at the screen crease. Apple owners would not like this “crease” and I know Apple does not want to get caught is a warranty issue. Maybe some day but not soon.

From the previous rumours we heard, Apple were working on some sort of seamless integration of two separate screens into one. If I understood it correctly, the panels themselves would not bend, so no risk of creasing. However, this poses a technical challenge of “blending” those two separate screens neatly together without an obvious gap. This, IMO, is a mighty difficult task, considering that we hold our phones so close.

I have moved from 12 mini to 15 and am very happy. 15 is quite light, I can still use it with one hand and my eyes thank me every single day!

I will be curious about potential Apple folds, but would not personally go smaller than 5.8” screens any more.

The two seperate screens would be more acceptable to me that a foldable.

I could reach any part of the screen on my Mini. I can't do this on 15 Pro or any other 6,1" phone. To me 5,8" like X/Xs/11 was a perfect size but still it wasn't that easy to reach upper part like on Mini.

You can probably reach it on a 6.1” phone too, but then you need to hold it in the middle, so it stays on your four fingers and you operate it with your thumb. Needs some getting used to, but then it’s ok. iPhone yoga! 😉

Let’s try to hold your phone on your four fingers during walking with your dog or during simp waking. Moreover I can grab Mini around with my finger. I can’t do this that tight on 6.1”. I think you ignore smaller person with smaller hands and people for whom comfort is the most important thing. Maybe for you the most important thing is to see bigger photo of your friend on instagram or facebook. That’s why you prefer 6.1”. If so buy plus or max. Or even iPad mini.

I sent the 15 Pro back yesterday and reactivated the Mini 13's cellular. I consume mostly text and the minimal added width of the Pro was of limited use. It is a lot heavier and bulkier. The Mini is a powerful little chunk of performance. Easy to carry and hold.

Yes, can imagine it will take some time before they are 'perfect'.

I bought the 13 Mini last year, so I will be fine at least 3 more yrs with my Mini. Last XR iPhone I had 4,5 yrs without any problem.
Who knows what have happened on the market at 2025-27. I suspect something that will fit me will be released. 17-20 might be even lighter.

Not worrying here, these kind of things seems to solve itself with time. For now I’m happy with the Mini, though I wish it was as small as the the 4/5 was 😉

If it still supported the latest iOS, I’d be right there with ya. The 2016 iPhone SE is great.
I only upgrade if a necessary feature gets dropped and we are forced to buy the next model.

Eyes argument is very real.

Even though I use larger text size system wise and 115% zoom in Safari, I still feel like I actually lost some sight due to 13 mini (had iPhone 11 before).

Whenever I pick up my girlfriend's pro max my eyes immediately feel a sudden rush of releive...

Photos are also rendered in a way it's harder to focus on details. Sigh...

Sounds like a phone that's easier to drop on the sidewalk.
