iPhone performance is far less reliable than Android

Yep. I don't see it telling anything remotely informative. Picking up only Samsung to highlight is already not enough.
However I think iPhone is the phone suffering the least performance hit regarding gaming. Some games refuse to run on certain android devices (even if they are still new) because of the updated engine or unrecognizable graphics card, while on iPhone, this often happens only on older (3-5 years old) devices.
Of course, these are just my own thoughts, and could be seriously biased.

I talk to a lot of people in my job. And at POS they usually have phone, lots of times, their iphone out. We discuss them a lot as mine is also close by. Never had anyone complain. My 6s Plus is still stellar as my son's 6. My oldest son and his wife have had iphones since the beginning, never an issue. My younger son and I had Galaxy S4's with lots of issues. We are not a strong sampling, but I disagree with the report. Maybe part of the problem is Apple continuously updates and updates again to fix any issues from previous update. Although, I haven't had problems with any updates. Where as Android (and Carriers) take 6 months or more to get updates to consumers. Maybe more time to refine,. All IMHO--

Now, I'm not saying that I can never make a mistake, but I try to prevent them.
In my experience it is the opposite. iPhone is more reliable for me. I still enjoy both platforms. They have different strengths and weaknesses.
My experience as well. I've never had a major issue with an iPhone, but I can't say the same with android devices.

There's 100's of android devices on different manufactures, different hardware and different versions of android with added bloatware and skin addons.

Agreed. The 6 Plus struggled with one GB of Ram. It had the potential to be a great iPhone, but it fell short with speed and efficiency.

Check the old threads. Every six months this fake company "Blannco Technology Group", which has a fake support app nobody uses, pays media outlets to publish the same fake story that Android is more reliable than iOS.

Totally agree, any Android phone I have had has had issues and I've had a few in my time, never have anything major with an iPhone
Don't agree with all on the link posted above of the 12 reasons why iPhone is better. Apps for one sometimes work better on android, same apps. To me it's not important so much who gets them first, not a huge app guy anyway and don't game on a phone. It's not 100% as the article alludes to. Lightening cable? Meh, they say (BGR FWIW) even apple is moving to the USB-C type for the 8.
They both bring good things to the user experience. I use both platforms and sometimes I enjoy one over the other. Battery life on android is generally worse in my experience. You'll generally find more RAM on android if that matters. Updates are more timely on the iPhone for sure, but only depending on which android you're using as some , pixel for one, get updates just as quick. And that's the thing Android is on a whole slew of phone manufacturers devices not just one like Apple. So of course there will be lots of variances. As for issues, I've had issues with both but nothing major.
So it's a wash in my opinion. Some good, some less good of each. iPhone is def not always better in all regards that's for certain. I like them both as they both bring good things to the user experience and are really not worth losing sleep over comparing the two.
One further note, the thing I really dislike about iPhone is why can't I place my icons where I want? Like down the sides instead of just one after another all over the screen. Can see my wallpaper or personal photo better. It's a simple thing, but Apple seems to insist we can't have that ability. Something I really enjoy better about android.

Having used both Apple and Android side by side for the last 10 years.... (Yes even recently - Pixel)... No, I don't agree with this at all. The 6s+ is so much better than my 6+ thanks to the ram and very noticeably faster CPU. I do miss Nova Launcher.... the ability to size down my icons and get everything on one page without folders. But ... Apple works better for me so I stick with it. Having used both, to say Android is better ... is wrong. The Pixel is probably the closest that Android has come to being Apple like.
That's developer issues, not iPhone...

As far as the phone function goes my "undependable" 7+ has not even had so much as a dropped call. I could not ask for a more dependable device. So I guess android is even better?
You didn't specify make, whether or not they were jailbroken, etc...
I know one guy who has a 5s that is jailbroken and that thing is worse than an Android phone. I personally know about 15 people who have iPhones and they all have perfect experiences with it. I know 5+ people who have Android and every single one of them complains about their phone. Several have moved onto Pixels and even those have some weird complaints but they are by far the best Android phone so far.
To have All your iPhones crashing ALL the time while xxx millions of people have no problem with their iPhone? Yeah... I'm going to have a difficult time with that one.
I've owned a 4s, 5, 6+, and 6s. Add in a few more that were replaced because of a broken screen. My wife has owned the same. None of our phones have "crashed all the time." I did have a 6+ red screen on me. 10 minutes after walking into an Apple store, I left with a 6+ replacement that was perfect until I sold it back to Apple.
One thing you can do with Apple that you cannot do with Android..... take your crashing all the time iPhone into an Apple store. Chances are you'll walk out with a new replacement within 10 mins without having to show a credit card (assuming we're talking about a recent model).
0 issues with Android? Really? Even the Nexus lineup wasn't perfect. Samsung was the WORST. Know anyone with an S4? Yeah, you'll see someone that hates Android. My Note 3, a beloved phone of mine, had terrible GPS and other LTE issues.

No jailbreak on any of them. Iphone 5 crashed on iOS 6 springboard and I couldn't even force restart it, when upgraded to iOS 7 it was the worst nightmare I had, the phone basically shut off for no reason with 60% 30% or 15% battery left. iPhone 6 crashed multiple times while using the camera on iOS 8 (brand new), the performance became awfully bad with iOS, games run slugish, the UI lags and not to speak of the battery issues this phone gave me on since the iOS 10 update.
So yeah my experience with iOS is not the same as many others here.
Yeah, that's surprising. The great thing about Apple is, you take it into the store and if it's the phone's fault and you get a nice "genius" they'll replace it for you. I know the 5 had some battery problems that Apple later replaced for free. I'm a firm believer that you have an overall norm then you have outliers - looks like you lucked out on the outliers - which is unfortunate.
Were you able to get your phones replaced? or did Apple refuse to replace them? (just curious).
Also would love to see which Android devices gave you no problems as well. I know a coworker had a OnePlus? One+ - but it didn't work on Verizon so he returned it but that thing was a thing of beauty and it was smooth as heck.
