Unless you have a particular desire for a Rose Gold in 256gb you're a bit stuffed when it comes to UK Apple store stock.
That's what I've been looking for and unfortunately I've not found one yet at my local Apple Store. Everywhere else is just too far away.

Tomorrow is my last day to do an exchange. Looks like I'll be sticking with my 128GB rose gold plus.

For those trying to keep a close eye on the iPhone stock levels, but find that you keep missing them - I've made a little program which can monitor the Apple website and send you a push notification when a desired model is available.

The source is available on GitHub, and the compiled program is downloadable here.

It's very rudamentary at the moment, but it does the trick.

It's a shame it's windows only :(

Guys, this is getting seriously sick. That company has billions and billions and billions in their hands yet they can't produce enough phones FOR THE ENTIRE COUNTRY, a month after the release. I've been up every single morning and there's no pluses, Covent Garden and Stratford is even sold out of the small phones. I know we all love apple but this is really too much.

I noticed on Apple's site today it doesn't even say "Unavailable for Pickup" when looking at 7 Plus models now.

Kinda crazy.

I really thought they'd have had stock for the new Apple Store in Birmingham, but nope!

I know this has been covered but wanted to double check.

Going to order a iPhone for delivery. Is it then possible to take it back to store, get a refund and go onto the upgrade program?

Not true to be honest. There has been plus' every day this week. Just not the one I want or, i'm guessing, the one you want.

Yeah, I didn't realise the irony of that until it was finished! Would you be interested in an equivalent macOS version? I might try to write a similar shell script, which could be left running on a mac or Linux system...

Honestly that would be great.

Is it nice? I have fond memories of the store in the bullring even though it's tiny!

This is similar to what I used for the iPhone 6: a Python script that would send Pushbullet notifications if a desired model came into stock. You could set how often it checked, too.
Let me see if I can find it, I'm sure it can be modified to the iPhone 7. It'll work on Mac, too.

Edit: quick Google and I think someone already modified the original script:

Has anyone managed a pickup for 7, silver, 32gb in last few days?
Looking to replace mine as the screen is scratched and I didn't do it!

Yes, stock is very limited for pick up. I wonder what would happen if we go straight to the store. Maybe they have stock for walkins which are not reflected online. Have you tried that?

AndrewBennets stock check program... Fantastic. I've installed it on my PC and works great. Could someone please explain to me how the push notifications work? Don't quite get that part... I'd like to get notifications on my iPad if possible.

Is there still additional stock going on during the day, even on Saturday? I'm after a matte black Plus in Reading. Can't use the stock check program as it's windows.

Glad you're finding it useful! If I get some time this weekend I might improve it further. The notifications work using Pushbullet - set up a Pushbullet account and install the iOS app. Then, via the Pushbullet web interface, you can request your API token. This should then be pasted into the config file of iStockcheck (and you should restart the program too). Voila - push notifications as soon as there is stock.

However - I noticed that Pushbullet notifications weren't working yesterday afternoon. Others reported the problem too (https://reddit.com/r/PushBullet/comments/54tloc/ios10_not_getting_notifications_from_channel/), so I think the problem is a temporary issue with Pushbullet. It might be fixed by now, but I'm not sure...

Trying to find a Plus 128GB in Cardiff, but it's been a hectic week! Absolutely none in stock! Besides, the reserve and pick up webpage does not work at all!

Is there a way to amend the search for a specific phone? or change how long between each check? Its coming up every 10 seconds at the moment which isn't helping my work productivity.

Thanks
