A direct debit by definition uses your bank account rather than a card. Your card - depending on your bank - may or may not have your bank account details on it.

I don't know if regular payments can be taken from your card instead, if they can then it's not a direct debit, it's a continuous authority transaction. Whilst - from the customer perspective - the result is the same, continuos authority transactions have been known to cause problems for people - and someone else will be better placed to say if they are possible for IUP. If they're not, make sure you have your bank account details to hand to setup the DD.

I've got a bank statement with me so I should be fine. Thanks for that info though.

Reserved a 128Gb Silver 7 today at 12:30.

All you need is ID and a bank card. Don't worry about taking bank statements as long as you know your bank account number and sort code. Most banking apps store that info for you.

Picked up my 7+ MB after a long wait at Stratford last night. Managed to switch over to IUP with no problems and I'm loving the phone so far.

Did you get any paperwork? So far I've had a couple of emails confirming it's been accepted and that's about it!

I would have expected a bit of info on the AppleCare agreement and also when my first payment will be but didn't get anything, unless it comes through at a later date.

Thanks!

I got 3 emails when I was signing up, they gave me an AppleCare booklet when I was there. Then this morning (2 days later) an email confirming my payment date and DD details (well starred out apart from last couple digits).

I got two emails, one had a link and the other had a password to input on that link. When I did that it gave me all the terms etc although I didn't actually check it for DD dates, just skimmed over it.

Same here. 2 emails with a link and a password yesterday, then one more this morning from Barclays saying the finance agreement has been approved. Seeing as I'm reading this email from my iPhone 7 plus, that was obvious haha.

Guys, did someone try and succeed to get the phone from Covent Garden store when reserved as for upgrade program but in the store to pay outright , with no upgrade contract etc ?

You get the one confirming the date two days after you've been approved so if you picked up the phone yesterday you should then get the email on Monday I would assume.

Many people have managed to buy out right from the Reservation made for the upgrade program, so you will be fine.

AND PICKED UP!

Took a few mins for the check but a pain free process.

I got my two Barclays emails pretty much straight away fwiw.

Yea, you'll get those first. Another one confirming you've been accepted either tonight or Monday, then Tuesday the one confirming the due date and the number to call to change that, if you wish.

When I bought, they asked if id like to pay outright before anything else, so while it wasn't for Covent Garden, I highly doubt you'll have any issues.

Woooooooo! Go Silver!

I get the feeling you like silver ;)

I had been up 6 am all week trying to get a MB 7+ with storage larger than 128, and today was the first day didn't get up and try, then around 11 am this morning, I randomly tried the reservation site, and bingo.

Got 7+ 256 MB on iUP today at Covent Garden. Been playing since 4 pm, coming from 6, I am still getting used to the larger screen and larger body size. But the speed difference is amazing. Camera though, I am still trying to see what are all the fuss is all about, it looks (feels) worse than my 6. Will have another go tomorrow when I go to the park with my dog.

Still trying to get a MB 7+ in 32 or 128. I have two local stores (MK and Cambs) and two not so local but doable (Norwich and Leicester), another early morning tomorrow.

Worth trying throughout the day. Managed to reserve a MB 7+ 32 at MK last Friday at 2.30pm, picked it up 5pm

Had almost given up but had one last look at the end of the lunch break and they were available
