I saw that too...people were being booked in as walk in's.

Reading was turning people away that asked about buying as walk ins. Told online pickup or online reservation only. Someone tried arguing saying that some people could do it in London and they were told that they shouldn't be doing that and they'll note which store.

Which sounds like any stores selling to walk ins are going against the rules.

Ok, I am done waiting for JB plus and went for the black one instead picking it up tomorrow from Covent Garden. I don't want to discover that JB pluses are back in stock next week.

In that situation, can you not just take the MB back into store and exchange it for JB?

I tried to reserve a matte black in my local store at 6am but it ran out in literally a second

Success - Got a 128GB Plus in Silver reserved for later. Did fancy a jet black originally however after watching loads of torture test videos has kind of put me off. Haven't had a white iPhone since the 5 so I thought why not!!

The 128gb black went so fast in every store! I think there was only 1 in my local store and someone got there before me because I accidentally entered a wrong digit in my phone number on the reservation page
[doublepost=1474521489][/doublepost]There should be more iup stock appearing later?

Same here for Cardiff. I clocked that 256 black was there last night so aimed to get that one this morning. When reservations opened though i spotted a 128 black but hat vanished 30 seconds later before I could even confirm, must've had literally 1 in stock.

Managed to snag a 256 black plus though so I'll take that as a win. Thought 256 would be too much but thinking back I did fill the 128 iPad Air 2 I had a year ago.

Well, can I? Can I return the phone when I rip the plastick off and start using it?

Yes, you can. Anything purchased at the Apple Store (even none apple branded) can be returned within 14 days. I have already returned an iP7 and exchanged it for the Plus too.

I can confirm this also. Bought an SE at launch for a London trip then returned it 13 days later after the trip was done. Only needed it until my replacement 6s came through.

Seems to have been a complete washout so far today on 7+ stock. Will just have to keep monitoring but it's getting tedious now. Would have expected stock levels to have picked up a bit by now really.

Well Im back from the store with my 7+ in Silver. Thanks to all who have helped on this post! I hope you all get what you want in the end (or what you settle for!). Cheers!

Might be a silly question but if I sign up for IUP, do I still get the same 14 day return window?

The upgrade program went through with no problems then?

Yeah no problems at all. Had to hang around a bit and was passed between 3 specialists, they actually gave me a spare headphone adapter and lightning EarPods for the trouble! (I did tell them it wasn't neccessary and I understood they were busy).

Once we got going it took about 15 mins and went through no problem. It did take about a couple of mins to get a decision on the credit application and I thought it was game over but was all fine.

I don't know why but I always get a bit nervous when applying for credit even though mines not bad!

So yeah, all good thanks! Just got to set it up! :)

Thank you, it does indeed! Think I will just confirm with the advisor once I get to the store.

No issues with mine today. Got to store, mentioned I was there to collect a phone, they asked how I'd like to pay (so yes you can just reserve and pay in full when you get there), credit check took literally 2 minutes, 10 minutes in total to input details and make the upfront payment.

Honestly have to say, the most seemless credit application I've ever been involved in, and I run credit checks for people every day.

Bravo to apple for making it simple.

Proud owner of a 256gb 7 plus in black

Good luck to everyone here, hope you all get the ones you want sooner rather than later. Persist!

Quick question: I'm ok to use my debit card when setting up any direct debits for this upgrade program yes?

Also, when reserving the phone on the website, does it give you the option of selecting a preferable time rather than the one they suggest?

A direct debit by definition uses your bank account rather than a card. Your card - depending on your bank - may or may not have your bank account details on it.

I don't know if regular payments can be taken from your card instead, if they can then it's not a direct debit, it's a continuous authority transaction. Whilst - from the customer perspective - the result is the same, continuos authority transactions have been known to cause problems for people - and someone else will be better placed to say if they are possible for IUP. If they're not, make sure you have your bank account details to hand to setup the DD.
