Really dumb how T-Mobile is always left out of these deals. You can’t get T-Mobile phones from a lot of stores, either. Too bad

You get what you pay for. I don't think it should surprise anyone. T-Mobile users already pay less for their plans than ATT/Verizon users. So think of this "upgrade" as Verizon/ATT giving their users a discount on their more expensive bill.

ATT is better for the areas I am than T-Mobile, large ymmv of course but we have a good cheaper plan, and service is good enough no reason to switch. I'm not loyal to any carrier brand tho, I say use what works for you. Nothing to 'love' about any of them but might as well be rewarded for the plan that already works for us and we aren't moving from haha

That's a valid point. But people need not forget that ATT/Verizon plans are more expensive than T-Mobile. Always have been.

These so-called "discounts" are comical.

Sure, you may end up paying only $200 for the phone, but these carriers more than factored these "savings" into your monthly bill, indirectly, by offering plans that are generally on the expensive end. Hence why only existing customers are eligible.

The reason why T-Mobile isn't on there is because, on average, T-Mobile customers pay a lot less for their plans than Verizon or AT&T users.

The catch is that you're paying more for your Verizon/AT&T plan than most people are paying for their T-Mobile plan. That's the only catch.
I’m a happy 15 year T-Mobile customer, but missing out on these deals is annoying. There’s no doubt Verizon and atnt service is usually better than T-Mobile. I have no issues, but T-Mobile used to be seen as the service for kids and broke people, and maybe they still haven’t broken that stigma. Someone who is happy on atnt or Verizon and wasn’t planning to leave anyways is now cashing in on the best deal out there for the SE. Paying msrp would be hard to swallow knowing people got it for half off just because they aren’t with T-Mobile.

When I tried to purchase AT&T and Verizon said upgrades only and wanted to check my eligibility. I thought it was for anyone who wanted to finance. Oh well I’m on metro prepaid

With the discount I get through my work, AT&T is cheaper for my family than T-Mobile.

Valid point, but everybody's situation is different.

I had Verizon for years and loved it. It blows T-Mobile out of the water in terms of reception and service. However, I was forced to switch to T-Mobile several years back because Verizon was way too expensive. Yet, despite being more expensive, Verizon always had ******* international plans. I travel a lot and T-Mobile is really the only way to go in that regard. It's truly free texting and talking and browsing in any country. With Verizon, I always got murked and my phone bills were ridiculous. To this day, they charge an arm and a leg for their so-called international passes, which start at $10 a day. What a joke.

So while I understand what you're saying, I'll gladly pay a lot less in monthly fees on T-Mobile and skip these "upgrades". But if you're already on Verizon/ATT/Sprint, you might as well take advantage of this deal.

in the absence of grandfathered plans, people with other discounts, etc. and other relatively fringe scenarios relative to the entire customer base, of course agreed.

I'm not sure why we 'need not forget' but I abide in any case

Your messages are absolutely false. Walmart doesn't carry t-mobile because they don't have an agreement with them just like Best Buy but since sprint and t-mobile merged that might change. And new customers for att do qualify for this promotion you just have to go in the store because Walmart has extremely high fraud rates. And prices are going to be expensive on plans because its a premium services. Customers that don't like it can go to Cricket or another non premium company. That's why you have options.

Which one of my messages are false? - Please enlighten me.

Did it ever occur to you that one of the reasons why T-Mobile and Walmart aren't partners is because the plans generally cost much less and there may not be enough incentives for Walmart to profit off T-Mobile and vice versa? - Also, there's generally nothing more "premium" about AT&T than T-Mobile. It costs more, but the service is equally lacking or worse than T-Mobile. The only truly premium carrier as a whole is Verizon.

Not sure how you came to the conclusion that my messages are "absolutely false". Your explanation made no sense whatsoever. You just told me that the sky is blue.

Some people didn't understand why T-Mobile isn't included. And my point was that, generally speaking, nothing is "free" in life. In a nutshell, people shouldn't expect great deals from the cheapest carriers like T-Mobile. They were never known for good offers or deals through other retailers.

Can Someone explain the process for a Verizon account? I can’t seem to sign into my Verizon account with the little pop up box. Or when I can sign in, I don’t know what to do next.

Thanks

I miss the coverage that Verizon offered me on their grandfathered plan for sure, but I had to go.

Went from 180.00/mo for one unlimited line, and one 2GB line, to T-Mobile with TWO unlimited lines, for 60.00 TOTAL.

Guess my SE is gonna cost me 399.00

Got it to work.

I was able to order an AT&T one for my wife about 20 minutes ago for $199. It didn’t mention anything about changing my mobile share plan. My wife has the old SE and doesn’t care much about tech other than camera. Can’t beat $199. I will pay off day 1.

Same with me. Bought two for my kids, who are on mobile share. No mention of changing plans. It could be buried in the fine print, but then I would fight it.

Just ordered my AT&T 128gb SE for $249 on Walmart.com! Currently have an 11 Pro 256gb but I’m thinking I would enjoy a smaller phone that still has great speed and a really good camera. If I don’t like it I’ll just return it.

Ordered a Product Red 128gb SE. Not sure if I’m going to use it as my primary phone or use it as an iPod.

I’ve been wanting a 7th gen touch forever to separate my music off my phone (I hate when a text message interrupts what’s playing) but I just couldn’t justify spending $300 for one with such poor specs. The 8 is bigger than I would want for music, but at this price point and specs, it just made sense to get one. $249 is a steal for the performance and 5 years of support.

that’s gonna be a rocking iPod touch if that’s how you purpose it

It really depends how many lines you have. Most people with att and verizon that I know have 3-5 lines. The average per line cost with att and verizon is around $40/line. Pretty much on par with T-Mobile.

right now i pay 4 lines/$160 with att elite unlimited 100gb data full speed/30gb hot spot and hbo. 5 lines is /$175 plus taxes (taxes is $17-25 in most states.

This is the best plan with my work $10/line discount. Including taxes that is around $180 each month for my 4 lines

T-Mobile is $38-43 per line (T-Mobile includes taxes) between 3-5 lines. Magneta plus plans.

tmobileIs definitely cheaper 1-2 lines but the cost savings is not great once you go 3-5 lines.

and att verizon (sprint always has the best deals cause they are dying and just got swallowed by T-Mobile). They have better upgrade deals at 3rd party retailers.

to each their own. But there is a reason families plans are very competitive with att and verizon. That’s why people stick with them. And I had T-Mobile for 15 years. But I’ve had att for 16 years and verizon for 9 years. I carry two phone with me from different carriers the the better parts of 20 years.

As to TMOBILE.

They offer outstanding deals from time to time at Costco. Last Iphone 11 cost me less than $100 to buy with trade in. Got an XR for about $240 out of pocket (including buying a phone to trade in).

They also offer good deals through their stores.

I really am pumped I got in on this deal.. I almost always miss these sorts of deals, by either a marginal amount or a country mile.

Has anyone gotten theirs yet? My order has been processing since the 17th. Still says delivery by April 30.

Thanks

Might want to call some local Walmarts see if they have them in stock. You can cancel your preorder and get the same deal in store.

It's what I did last weekend, with an original ETA of May 4th.

Mine may be out for delivery today. I got 2 emails from Walmart that were a little confusing about 2 deliveries: 1 for the SIM and 1 for the iPhone SE. Still no status change on Walmart site under my account. However I have 2 tracking numbers for USPS that I can track.

USPS says delivery of one of them today between 12:45 - 3:45 PM ET today.
